Here's a link with all the details known at this time.

It has been widely speculated that Lore would be the majority owner, but if this article is correct it is an equal partnership with Alex Rodriguez.

Lets hope the league agreed to let the wolves keep their 2021 pick in the sale agreement.

Direct question to anyone so kind to speak his voice about it:

Is Seattle just an hypothetical situation that could or could not happen...?
...Or is actually the thing so just a matter of time 'til confirmed?

How much are you concerned?

Seattle has a separate group of investors that are bringing an expansion team back to the city.

This sale has nothing to do with Seattle.

Will be a glorious day when Seattle gets a team that is hopefully the Sonics again. I miss that team.

1. It will be the Sonics
2. It's happening. Don't you worry.

Zero concern whatsoever.

Taylor will provide those local names to Lore and Rodriguez. Taylor confirmed the $1.5 billion purchase price, which includes the WNBA Lynx, for the Pioneer Press. Taylor remaining as majority owner for two years before Lore and Rodriguez are to take over wasn’t his idea, he said, but that of the prospective owners so they could learn from him. Taylor told them he would leave immediately if that’s what they wanted or stay to advise them. Other suitors who were interested in buying the Wolves also asked Taylor if he would stay for a while should they make a deal. Taylor wouldn’t confirm, but it’s a good bet that Lore and Rodriguez will use the two years to get their finances in order for the $1.5 billion purchase. It’s also clear that Lore, whose wealth is estimated at nearly $2 billion, will be the primary money partner in the deal, not Rodriguez.

That's a relief. I was afraid Glen would be nominal owner for the next two years but it sounds like his role is more of a consultant. I don't want the guy who lost 4 1st round picks over Joe Smith "advising" the new owners how to do business.

I guess those really were “serious talks!” That’s what money does. If it was me, the same talks would be called “whimsical.”

SHRINK: Hey Mr. Taylor. I’m an internet poster from RealGM, and I think I would be a great NBA owner. Can I buy the Wolves?

TAYLOR: Ha Ha Ha! Sure son. How much are you offering?

SHRINK: Oh, I don’t know. How about a BILLION DOLLARS? Ha Ha!

TAYLOR: Ha Ha! A billion? Oh, I really couldn’t let it go for less than a billion and a half! Can you write me a check?

SHRINK: Sure, but you’ve been such a great owner, I’d hope you stay on the job two more years to teach me all your tricks!

TAYLOR: Sure son, no problem. Make that check out to cash. And now, wil you please valet park my car?

If he's remaining the majority owner for the next 2 years, then he's the one who has final say. It's more than advising.

Can't wait for the new ownership group to start making positive changes from Taylor's autocracy. Sounds like Lore and Rodriguez are committed to turning this around, plus it will engender better support from the players to have younger ownership and one that is himself a former professional athlete. It will do wonders to the PR side of things.

Side bar -- also excited for the separate ownership group that will bring NBA back to SEA. I was a SEA fan b4 OKC and lived in OKC... so I was just pumped to see NBA basketball in person... It's complicated. I miss the Sonics a lot, and their colours. Not right to move a franchise like Bennett et al did.
Cheers

I am wondering if we are going to see the number 21 retired in the near future or not.

That's not a good thing, I hope that isn't what caused the hold up, because if it was....

Not me lol. I'll probably hang on for a year to two, especially if we got the same guys but after that, it's over, I'll be a nomad.

My Wolves fandom ends the very second they announce the team is moving and so would my following of the NBA in totality.

It’s a very ominous sign that Taylor wasn’t honest with the media and the deal was delayed to “iron out” final details. Taylor is a piece of ****. He screwed the fans with his horrific leadership and he’s punching us in the balls on his way out. I sure hope he doesn’t plan on sitting court-side next season because he won’t be enjoying the banter coming his way.
