Hornets' pick can very well be the 41st considering their tough last 2 games, and can be 44th at the lowest.

The Raptors' Stanley Johnson commemorated our pick with a career night - 35/10/5, three steals, no turnovers in 43 minutes.

New phone. Who dis?

Yeah we definitely should've gotten the Knicks pick in the Rose trade instead of Toronto's. #Weaver'sanidiot

I don't think it means much especially in Miami's case. Miami is in a dogfight for the very important #5 seed to avoid Milwaukee as well as home court so they will likely have something to play for on Sunday.

Denver is the one I'd worry (slightly) about because chances are that Jokic doesn't play tonight and he drives everything they do. Hopefully Porter Jr. plays after he rested last night.
With that said, the Pistons lost to Orlando at home and got blown out by Minny and Chicago so should we really be that worried?

Who knows and it's the longshot of all longshots but if the Pistons lose tonight, OKC pulls off the miracle of all miracles to win tonight and Orlando beats Philly who has nothing to play for, Sunday won't mean anything.

Should we be worried? No, and haven't had a reason to be worried for at least a week now. The Pistons have clearly shown they'll do their part to secure the 2nd worst record no matter what. That much has been plain to me for some time now.

Obviously it would be nice to lose out here and lock in the best odds, but as a practical matter, the odds of getting a top 4 pick are essentially the same no matter what happens. The only real difference is the "worst case" of how far we could potentially fall back. I think this draft is pretty widely considered to be a 4 man draft at the top, so the if we fall out of the top 4 is really the important part. If we do that, we end up with a tier2 guy no matter what. I don't think there any obvious talent gaps in that tier, just team preference.

Pistons got Toronto's pick from Brooklyn in the deal that included Bruce Brown. They got the Charlotte pick from the Knicks in the Rose trade.

If you insist on making a condescending post, at least get your facts right.

Besides people were wanting our own Pistons' pick back from the Knicks in the Rose deal, I don't remember anyone saying they wanted the Knicks 2nd.

I stand corrected, and yes I'm poking fun at those that have been overly critical of air Weaver breathes. If this not you, no need for your toes to feel stepped on.

If people wanted our own pick back, that's reasonable. I myself wanted the pick back, but newsflash, that wasn't happening. At the time I believe it was the 31st pick, possibly 32nd. As it stands it's STILL the 32nd. That just wasn't happening.

But there's a segment of people who took it a step further and thought that "at worst" we should've gotten the Knicks pick instead. Those people deserve to be laughed at for wanting what's turned out to be a worse pick.

4 down 1 to go

This would be our first 5 game losing streak, and it would come at the perfect time

just for interests sake, even though we should be ok

Heat and Knicks have 39 wins, Hawks have 40

Heat schedule: Bucks, Pistons
Knicks schedule: Hornets, Celtics
Hawks schedule: Rockets

Hawks is a gimme game so they'll finish with 41 wins, plus they have the tiebreaker over the Heat, so the Heat realistically won't finish ahead of them. However the Heat have the tiebreaker over the Knicks. If Knicks go 2-0, it means the Heat have to go 2-0 to avoid being locked in to the 6th seed.

So basically, if the Heat lose to the Bucks tomorrow, we need the Knicks to lose one of those games against the Hornets or the Celtics for our game to mean anything to the Heat.
So I'll be cheering for the Heat tomorrow

Or, we can just lose the game like we've been actively trying to do for a little while and none of the other stuff matters.

It's the Heat - they're trying to win.

I’m convinced we’ll finish with the second worst record. The tank won’t fail now.

Now is time to just embrace the uncertainty that is our modern lottery system.

Miami will be on a back-to-back off of Milwaukee, but they need the wins, they're in playoff mode, and they're rolling.

We could have our best lineup play it's best game of the year on Sunday. We're still losing.

If the Knicks win tomorrow, then we'll have to figure out a way to lose to Max Strus, Gabe Vincent, Trevor Ariza, Dewayne Dedmon, Kezie Okpala, and Andre Iguodala's corpse.
Tom Gores' Securus faced a class action lawsuit in 2024. The company engaged in a "quid pro quo kickback scheme" with county jails in Michigan which banned in-person visits in order to maximize revenue from voice and video calls.
