In a year where you have some guards need rest or games off for those nagging injuries. I could see him come off a bench and every 4th game go off get double digit scoring and help the team to a win. Likely the other three game miss a few shots and 1-2 Def rotations and get pulled. Think TD second season more than first season. If he can stay focused on every other game being a spark he can stay in NBA or he can play overseas of decent money.

My thought exactly. Nurse brought in Stanley for Harris who can't hit open shots. This is when we lost control. Should have ridden the hot hand.

And then he brought in Bembry when we were five points down.

Nurse is a smart guy. Why do you think he is doing this?

He's taking care of Stanley and Bembry so they can get contracts next year somewhere else.

I believe Bembry is already signed with us for next year. Nurse was putting in Stanley to guarantee the loss, as management, and I, want the better draft pick more than a meaningless win.

Next season isn't guaranteed.

He played good D on Morant and had 4 assists and only 1 turnover.

Harris like I said before should be slightly ahead of Watson on the depth chart. He's a bit more aware on defense and able to play some backup PG (also guarding Ja). I think Flynn and Harris held Ja to 1 shot attempt in the 1st half and only 2 FTA.

We trapped Morant:
1st possession - Flynn and Watanabe (curl off screen)
2nd possession - Flynn and Siakam (PnR)
3rd possession - Flynn and Birch (PnR)
4th possession - Flynn and Birch (PnR)
5th possession - Flynn and Birch (PnR)
6th possession - Harris and Gillespie (PnR)
...

Not saying they aren't playing good defense, but we are doubling him when there is a switch. Which is why we are -10 in the 1st quarter at the 5 mins mark, as they shared the ball and have someone scored against us.

He was great last night. Development is ahead of where I thought it would be. May actually have a role next year.

He's looking good so far with extended min... Hope you keep this same energy next year too.

He looks like he could push Trent for PT. Except for the passing he looks better than Flynn.

He reminds me of Lou Williams. Great shooter, light, fast, maybe not the greatest defender.
Harris should work on how to draw more fouls, just like Lou

He's at least an average defender, from what I saw him covering Ja Morant. Outside of the P&R, I didn't really see him do anything bad on defense. Better than TD.

Ditto. Can't argue with that

Maybe just watched the few games he played (only 7) in the G-League and saw the things he could do against pros and confirmed they could trade Matt Thomas and TD. He played the games before the deadline then was shut down for a minor injury.

G-League: 17.6 ppg, 45% FG, 50% - 3's.

3 games in the NBA playing 21-29 mins (split on bref): 14.3 ppg, 48/40/83

Small sample but seems like won't miss TD too much. Hopefully nab a couple good prospects to develop. Keep the line moving! Only give big contracts to top 8 players.

I don't have stats or anything to back it up but just from the way they look, I kind of see more potential in Harris than Flynn. Harris looks unfazed by everything but I guess it's because he's also playing in meaningless games. For a nothing second rounder, maybe he can become serviceable!

Correct, Flynn's playmaking and handles are tighter but the game doesn't seem too fast for Harris already. Seems easily over Paul Watson in the rotation. I think Watson is now relegated to only backup SF minutes.

I was just wondering, would people trade Harris for a pick in the teens and risk getting someone like Nesmith or Josh Green who is just as much a prospect?

I think Joel Ayayi would be the minimum propest. More like an Ayo Dosunmu, probably. Might be the 1st/2nd round border due to contract characteristics?

Lets be honest, Harris has outplayed Trent. And quite easily. Trent relies on the regulars to get him easier shots. I really hope Masai can see this and trades him when we draft a SG.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

I love his game, he's on the small side however. I guess you take what you get at that draft position.

I think that only happens with a top 2 pick and drafting Jalen Green. Any other draft spot, 3,4,7,8,9, there are bigger SG/SF, SF/PF options and Mobley to choose from.
