Tobi is scoring 27% on 3s for the last 7 games this May.

Looking at his splits. Its as if he was making a big push towards all star week then he starts to take the foot off the pedal once he didnt make the allstar.

Or he could just be pacing?

Anyway, I dont mind him being on cruisemode. But he should CONTINUE to improve on his shooting this offseason. We need him to shoot and make more 3s.

Maybe he should try focusing on becoming a shooter than on him creating on offense, whereas by doing so he can completely slide as being a third option on offense which I do think is his natural niche in the league.

Harris has a ton to prove in the postseason this year. Could be his make it or break it year by way of perception. Him going into cruise mode in May leading in the playoffs could be disastrous if he plays poorly in the playoffs again.

This is one of the scarier storylines heading into the playoffs IMO. It wasn't too long ago when we all thought he was a trash immovable contract...

Even scarier would be if both he and Ben flop. Regardless, they're both #3 options at best, and one needs to be moved for a better sidekick for Embiid.

Fair. It's moreso what I was thinking lol. It's never good to be "stuck" with any contract, and he's the only candidate on our roster to potentially have that label. Simmons will be a positive asset until he really proves he's not.

A long way for this team to go to get to the ultimate destination, but in one season they went from a sixth seed looking like the wheels were falling off to a first seed with an MVP candidate and a generally considered strong coach and GM.

Ben's man would just go under the screen, which is why DHOs are a far better option with him than PnR (as the one with the ball in his hands that is, I think he could be a very good roll man).

Not sure why that's an example of why can't play Seth. As the random Twitter guy points out, San Antonio doesn't communicate well on the play with the switch back, leading to the open drive. If properly executed I don't think it's particularly tough to stop, especially with Ben's recovery speed.

You're right but money isn't everything in life. Tobias as a player has a lot to prove this postseason and he knows it.

These guys care a lot about reputation and legacy, specially a guy like Tobias who looks very commited to basketball.

I hope he shows up in the Playoffs but i never been a Tobias believer, we are asking way too much from him. It's very difficult to be a championship contender if he's your 2nd scoring option and your best perimeter player.

I think it was the overall season encompassing rumor + trade talk thread. We do need an offseason thread for general Sixers talk though.
