I think he's at the same talent level as Jerome Robinson. Nothing more, nothing less until he shows otherwise.

Why would you choose Robinson as a player to compare him to? Can't see that.

Homesley's shot form makes me think of some things WD's been saying -- interested in your take, WizD!!

He reminds me of the Michigan state guy, Bridges I think.

Signing this guy probably means we're trading Beal, no?
Can't say I do. Who else gonna shoot?

Seeing Homesley makes me realize the lack of lefties we’ve had on this roster. Was Oubre the last one?

On his clips, it was mostly catch and shoot, can he handle the ball and create?

Homesley displays some decent passing and ballhandling skills in the early part of that G-League highlights clip. But it's his 3pt shooting that I'm sure the Zards are banking on.

Caleb didn't shoot the ball particularly well when he was with the team during preseason. But he's a 6-6 wing with a rep for being a good 3 ball shooter. That's a desirable skillset that's lacking in most of the team's current crop of wing players.

In Tommy we trust.

I think this signing was a bit premature. I think after the draft would have been a better time. We will see...

Katz reporting a 4 year deal worth a little over 5 million total. Couple non guaranteed years and a team option on the back end. This year counts.

Seems like they are moving on from Garrison

Very unusual for a 24 year old rookie who's done so little ever got a 4 year NBA contract, but hey - Tommy must see something in him, and it sound like very little - if anything - is guaranteed. Very little risk.

Teams have been doing this for a bit now, locking-up a prospect in-hopes that they strike some gold and get great value like with Bol, looks like Tommy is swapping Matthews (never really got a shot in the offense IMO) with this guy.

I doubt this has anything to do with Mathews one way or the other. & I'll be surprised if Homesley has a guarantee his first year.

If you'd like to add a glass of cold water to the CH mix, take a look at his actual G League numbers (as opposed to his highlights): https://www.basketball-reference.com/gleague/players/h/homesca01d.html. He wasn't particularly good in the G League.

I'm not sure what this is about to tell the truth. But I wish the kid the best, of course! May he play extremely well.
