We've spent the last 10 years here looking for little flashes from draft picks, and they just didn't pan out. A lot of the things I heard said about Elfrid Payton are things I've seen being said about Hayes. Like his passing is very good, and I saw a Rondo comparison. Who knows, I think he's the youngest player in the NBA and he's had that hip injury, he may still end up being good, it's hard for me to see right now.

Maybe I'm wrong about Sekou, I just haven't been impressed.

People praise and hate weaver, it’s a message board what are you going to do.

With where we are at in the rebuild, its really not an issue to pick up his option. Even if the thinking is like sunken cost fallacy. And honestly he has had really only good games here and there, but the way we’ve developed him is very questionable.

It's going to be really interesting if the Clippers actively try and lose against the Thunder like they did the other night against the Rockets.

If the Clippers lose, they would lock themselves into the 4 seed and avoid the Lakers until the WCF. But OKC is 1-23 in their last 24 games. Something's gotta give.

If the Clippers win, they'll be the 3 seed and there's a legitimate chance they'd get the Lakers in the first round, which seems less than ideal.

So according to tankathon, the highest the Chicago pick will be outside of top 4 will be 8 with us drafting sg keon johnson at 8.
Can't see us passing on green or mobley with our own pick. With the young guards and bigs currently on the roster, it will be interesting to see how the draft pans out.

The 76ers need to win for home court in the finals. I think Embiid drops 50 tomorrow and it will be a bad look for Joker to take the night off.

It sure will be. There's so many ways it can go still, before the lottery. Will the Bulls pick convey? Will one or both of Houston and Minnesota have to give up their picks? I also think this year's crop of prospects is pretty interesting.

Anyway my daily tankathon spin was finally a positive one:

Orlando with the first pick! :D
Chicago with the fourth pick :(

But, obviously, you take that and run if it's on the table. OKC was 2nd, CLE 3rd. Houston's (5th, to OKC) and Minnesota's (7th, to GSW) picks drop outside of their protections and convey.

Clippers can't get the Lakers in the first round, Denver has the tiebreaker over them. If the Clippers win and Denver loses to the Blazers, then the Clippers are the third seed and the Lakers are in the play-in. If they win and Denver wins too, then the Clippers are the fourth seed. They made sure to be in this position by blatantly tanking against the Rockets.

I was pulling my information from here: https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/31450139/2021-nba-playoffs-everything-stake-last-day-regular-season

Which upon closer inspection does NOT appear to be correct. Shame on ESPN for having that on the front page of ESPN.com

“If the Clippers win, the Clips are the 3-seed and the Nuggets are fourth, no matter what.”

The Clippers *can* finish 3rd, but if they do it would mean Portland has defeated Denver and earned 6th.

The Nuggets can actively avoid the Lakers in the 3/6 by tanking it against the Blazers.

Early reports are that Hampton and Carter will join the not-suited up: Okeke, Carter-Williams, Ennis, Porter, and Ross, with Isaac and Fultz.

So, of Orlando's 16-man roster (Orlando has an injury exemption to be above a 15-man roster), only 7 are physically eligible: Anthony, Harris, Brazdeikis, Hall, Bacon, Bamba, and Wagner. So add the two TW players, Thornwell and Randle, this will be the Magic's most scrub-a-licuos conclusion game I can ever remember.

Anthony/Randle
Harris/Thornwell
Bacon/Brazdeikis
Wagner
Bamba/Hall

The MVP was locked up for Jokic a long time ago. He could get blue lives matter tattooed to his forehead and still win (or something equally controversial to nba people)

Honestly one of the most uniquely dominant seasons in recent memory.

Trying to get all the bad luck out here with this prediction: Magic lose, OKC wins, OKC lands the #1 from the worse lottery odds than us, Bulls leap to #2. We draft another center. That should wrap things up.

The chi pick is top 4 protected. They keep the pick if they land at 4.
