It's one of the truly weird US regional accents. It sounds very similar to what I remember from the Baltimore accents in The Wire, which I'd never heard before. Kind of like Boston accents; 95 percent is basically "regular" American English, and then a handful of words makes it sound like they're from a completely different country.

Watched the first episode of Mare if Easttown. I enjoyed it. Took awhile to get going but they have a lot of characters to establish.

Kate Winslet as a grandma seemed odd at first but they glam her down quite a bit.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Ha I finished season 3 last night and they definitely went full ridiculous. Still find it an enjoyable enough watch so I'll keep going for season 4. But definitely feel good about my Yellowstone is SOA on horses take.

Caught GvK in a theater last night and im really happy about that decision, those battles were too epic for the small screen.

I watched an interesting little French sci fi flick on Netflix last night called Oxygen. I wouldn't all it "incredible" but it was a clever concept that kept my attention.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Not exactly topical, but I stumbled across "The Sinner" on Netflix. Starring two of my least favorite actors of all-time, Jessica Biel and Bill Pullman. Not even sure why I watched it given that fact, but I enjoyed the first season very much, particularly because of those two actors. A strange show for me to like, but I give it a big thumbs up.

Currently working on season 2 which is even weirder than season 1 (an accomplishment).

Alexandre Aja has made some films I've really liked. I'll definitely check this one out.

Yeah that was a perfect comparison. Definitely still enjoyable but that finale was the definition of jumping the shark.

Heard of was good. I love sci-fi so I’ll give it a whirl.

Side note, I started watching the trailer and Netflix is doing that English dubbing thing automatically. The movie is French, correct? Anyone else have that issue with Netflix on Apple TV?

I have Roku. I watched it with English subtitles.

Started Snowfall a few weeks ago and just finished season 3. I had no idea. It has entered my pantheon. Top 5 for me at the moment. They will definitely botch the landing tho. After GOT I said I wouldn't watch a show like this until it's over. I like this so much I wish I had stuck to the plan. Now I have to wait for episodes like a savage.

When they botch it. Never let me forget that I did this to myself.

I don't really care for the movies at all (I've seen them all multiple times and they're fine) but Clone Wars and Rebels are both incredible and easily my favourite thing about the Star Wars universe.

*Easily* my favorite thing about the Star Wars universe is Harrison Ford reacting angrily to detailed questions about it.

Watched the first episode of Hacks on HBO Max. I thought it was pretty funny. Two episodes a week released on Thursdays.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.
