otoh, if we can find a piece that helps the roster make sense, the odds they are blown up in 2 years goes way down.

The correct answer when there isn't a generational player in a draft tends to be subtle and varied because the pitfalls to rebuilding through the draft are many.

Presumably the Cavs will continue to emphasize character and work ethic in their lottery picks. They've drafted all 19 year olds with their top pick, but we're getting to the point where a more nba-ready player would help a lot.

best bet is to not trust this front office to do what anyone thinks they should do because of the fixation on current players at this time is probably a pr marketing strategy mirage.
