That's pretty uncharitable to Bosh. He was 25 in his last year here. Lowry, for example, was still in Houston when he was 25 and I don't think all that many people considered him a great leader at that point. Maybe CB turns into that guy 5 years later with Masai at the helm as well.

Bosh ain't really show much love to the Raps after he dipped, so why the hell do the fans show him love now? Even during his time with the Raps, it was aight. We barely sniffed the playoffs.

I don't understand why players have to talk **** about Toronto on their way out. I believe Bosh said something about not getting ESPN up here. Just cheap potshots for no reason. Clearly he harboured no love for us, so why should we reciprocate?

Meanwhile you have Kawhi as your avatar

Kawhi brought us a ring in 1 year. Bosh couldn't even get us to the second round in 7 years.

Right. Let’s just conveniently ignore the players that were on the court with Bosh for those 7 years compared to what KL had to work with.

It’s amazing to me that people still fawn over Vince Carter here because he won a dunk contest when he cried his way out of town by dogging it on the court but slam a guy who spent 7 years of his prime with this team and gave his max effort every single game to try and help his crappy team to win.

Bosh re-signed with us, Kawhi left after one year.

Get out of bed.

Bosh talked crap about us. Left us after being a franchise guy. And gave us losing seasons.

Kawhi did his job and dipped.

So ya i dont care about Bosh, salami.

While I do agree with you about the talking crap part, it was a dickish move. But he did resign while Kawhi left because he never wanted to be here, even though there was a good chance to repeat. Also, Bosh had a very crappy team compared to Kawhi.

Having said that, I'm not that big a fan of Bosh but you got to give him some props if you're going to rip him as well.

Screw him, hope the air in the Hall smells like **** on Induction Day and a Sportscenter re-run on ESPN drowns out his speech.

I think it's important to stress that Raptors leadership was horrendous prior to Tim Leiweke and his hiring of Masai. Bosh's best teammate in Toronto was Jose Calderon and peak Bargnani. None of Bosh's teammates would've been a starter on the 2019 team. Also you can't pin Bosh on lack of team leadership - Kawhi never had this either. The difference was Kawhi had Lowry, the real team leader. So I think it's unfair to blame Bosh for lack of team success.

Having said that, Bosh did throw shade @Toronto. He complained of being unable to watch ESPN because Toronto didn't have good cable. He complained of going through Customs (frivolous IMO, the Raptors go through a special gate without line-ups and with NEXUS they easily go through). He implied Toronto were never on US national television. He grumbled about high taxes in Canada.

He also complained that Toronto wasn't a free agent destination. This is true but did Bosh really help in recruitment? What didn't help was the aggregate of all of these shades he lobbed against Toronto. For this reason, I agree the meh "who cares?" attitude of Toronto fans to his HOF selection, is understandable and fitting.

Who cares about Bosh? He was a good, but ultimately unremarkable player (top-20 in his prime) who didn't lead us anywhere. He only got into the HoF because of pity votes. He won his rings as a third option.

He was a ball stopper who demanded the ball while he was here. He put up great numbers on crappy teams because we force fed him, in order to generate a "first option". He was never going to be a first option, that was our mistake.

We couldn't get people to play with him, because he wasn't respected as a player. Think a less dominant KAT, that you have to run the offence through. Nobody's going to Minnesota to be his BETA, the same was true here.

Bosh had his faults, but acting like him dipping to Miami to form the big 3 is some unforgivable sin is hilarious. That move was pretty much only positive for him and he ended up with 2 rings because of it. He is undoubtedly a top 5 Raptor of all time.

Lowry flirted with leaving twice in FA and he was involved in trade talks at least twice beyond that. The main difference is circumstances. A player has to do what is best for themselves ultimately.

The problem is, what he did in Toronto was unremarkable.

Demand the ball at the top of the key, try to back down a bigger guy. Then, flail your arms and complain to the referee. Most of his offence was generated at the line, a-la Derozan. It was painful to watch.

No meaningful playoff success in 7 years. Not a single memorable playoff moment.

You can blame BC or Babcock, but it wasn't their fault he got shut down by Jason Collins.

Compare that to DeRozan, Lowry, Norm, Fred, Pascal, OG, Kawhi, Marc, even Vasquez. We don't react because theres very little to remember.

He also had trouble with Dwight Howard. So in other words, he didn't dominate two top defensive players. Collins finished 1st in NBA in DRAPM in 05. I'd say it was definitely Raptors fault Bosh didn't have more success as a Raptor.

I wasn't mad that Bosh left. I was mad that he thought I should be mad that he left. And that really sums up Chris Bosh for me - he was too insecure and scapegoated Toronto for his shortcomings. He played up the fan service - "rep t-dot till they bury me" - just to turn around and act like he was playing in siberia - "the air smells different". So just like I didn't really care when he left, I don't really care that he made the hall.

I don’t see Bosh as a HOFer. Duncan, KG & Kobe - absolutely.

Bosh was an important price on a championship team that could have been replaced by many, many, many other non HOF players and those Heat teams still would have won.

He unfortunately didn’t have longevity on his side either.

Good player, great at times, not a HOFer in my opinion. My HOF standards are higher. It’s not the Hall of Very Good.
