The only way I think they consider someone like Kai Jones (or Mobley if everything bounces the right way) is if Wiseman is being shipped out. There's no way they're keeping 2 really young and raw centers on the roster.

One thing I like about Jones in this video is he doesn't show his move too early on blocks, he waits until the shooter moves first, then strikes fast and goes to meet the ball. Wiseman shows too soon, often getting into a wind-up crouch, which takes too long and lets the ball-handler adjust.

Right, but you know who else looked like who Anthony Randolph could have been? Anthony Randolph.

Nah, he was never going to turn into that.

I think, if they get the #4 pick they are pretty much certain to take whichever of the top 4 is left. Mobley included.

Hoping for #4 and #17

I think #4 is most likely Suggs or Green.
#17 I'm hoping for Garuba.

I hope we bring over Jessup and trade #17 for vet contributor or a future 1st (or both). We have so much youth already, and they aren't going to get much PT (if we're going to be any good).

(Wiseman, Nico, Paschall, Jessup)

I'm hoping they use Oubre's contract slot to get vet help (if it's not Oubre).

#17 is a pretty high pick to trade away ... but I agree there is a limit to how young a team can be and work. I like Paschall, and Nico but I'd rather move them on than trade 17 (Nico can stay on a TW anyhow).

Also Garuba has been a pro on a top Euro team for 2 years and he fits what the Warriors need. Screens, rebounding, defense, shot blocking ... he's got a raw offensive game but has shown some flashes. Wiseman, Green, Garuba, JTA is a nice mix now with real potential going forward.

Yeah, I agree somewhat with you. You don't trade 2 good picks on a supposedly loaded draft just to keep Mannion & Paschall on a youth movement.

Mannion is barely NBA-level, IMO. He won't last long if he doesn't show REAL improvement next season.

Paschall will be 25 next season, he's hardly "youth movement" from my point of view. He's more comparable to Wiggins and Looney in this sense of expected improvement.

The youth movement would be Wiseman, Jessup plus the 2 picks.

I like Garuba and think he's somewhat underrated as of now, but I also think he's similar to Looney in terms of skillset. Plus, he would overlap with Wiseman, too.

I believe the team should always go for BPA, but 2 wings, or 1 wing + 1 combo forward, would be a great outcome in this coming draft.

The more I see of Barnes the more I like him. He needs jumper work tho

Substitute "youth" with "inexperienced and not expected to be effective playoff contributors".
Paschall, Wiseman, Jessup, Nico (who we can drop or 2-way), Minny 1st is plenty of those kinds of players. #17 is just overkill.
We're going to have a hell of a time developing any / all of them anyways as they need to get minutes to get experience... and if they're getting minutes we're probably not very good. I'd trade Paschall for the vet if I thought we could get anything for him.

Barnes has such a live body and good length. I also like his playmaking, his handle and he is such a versatile defender. That J does need some work as you said and every draft there is a player who "might be the next Kawhi"!

Things might crystallize as players are more closely evaluated in workouts as we get closer to the draft, but it seems like there's a wide range of opinions where players 6-25 fall.

Most of the recent draft boards have players like Mitchell in the 6-10 range, Giddy in the 10-15 range and Springer in the 15-20 range, which is considerably different than how some have those players ranked here.

The Warriors all-around player ideal is all over this draft, what is missing is the natural scorers, and the natural scorers (outside the top 5) have other holes in their game.

I hope we have to wait until the end of the finals to find out where the Warriors pick is, but my guess is it'll be 17 and at 17 there are going to be a bunch of players who can add to this team, we just have to hope the Warriors get the star who will be on the board there.

If the Minny pick is in the 5-8 range then I would want the Warriors to draft Moses Moody assuming Suggs and Green are off the board. He seems to be the best shooter in the draft, is a good defender, and could fill in for Klay until he returns to full strength.

With the #17 pick I would want a pg if possible, but if Giddy or Springer are no longer available and Jalen Johnson is then I think we should take a flyer on him. JJ could fill play the Harrison Barnes role for us and is a good playmaker and has the tools to be a versatile wing defender.
