Man, Taylor Sheridan butchered a really good story with his Those Who Wish Me Dead adaptation.

Army of the Dead was fun schlock. Snyder needs to just stick to horror.

It was terrible.

Edit: To add. Angie gets struck (directly or indirectly) by lightning twice in about a 6 hour timespan. Additionally, the 2-3 groups of characters manage to continuously bump into each other almost by chance in the vast Montana wilderness, in the dark, in a storm, and a fire.

Made the classic mistake of looking at the IMDB episode appearances for The Nevers and one name stood out for not being around for the whole season. So I knew they were gonna be killed off and, welp...yea.

So it was like Uncle Euron finding his niece and nephew in the middle of the night in the middle of an ocean. Neat. I'll pass.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

Will say, I am glad I watched the movie because I immediately read the novel after and liked it a lot. Feel like I'm gonna fly through Michael Koryta's other stuff.

Speaking of The Nevers, I got caught up with the mid-season finale. Holy crap. I think it's been since Lost that I've seen an episode that changed how an entire season is viewed.

I quit on that show after 3 episodes. Loved the first episode but then it just dragged. Worth going back?

I bailed after two episodes until yesterday because I saw a headline saying the show finale got good. Can confirm, the midseason finale might have saved the show. I'm looking forward to checking it out when it comes back.

Anybody watch Broadchurch? I am about 4 episodes into season 1. It's pretty good. Not amazing or anything but a decent murder mystery.

I though he was doing it because Peter Gabriel's "So" was released 35 years ago yesterday.

I'm a handful of episodes into Love Death + Robots and that's a cool **** show. Not something I want to binge but more enjoy in small bites.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

First season was awesome and I was pumped that they came out with a second. Unfortunately it's really pretty crappy.

"That Damn Michael Che" is pretty good. Uneven first episode, but then picks up steam. 6 short episodes - we watched it in a night.
