In case anyone else cares about stuff like this, this was our 5th worst record in franchise history. We’ve only had a record worse than this once in the lottery era- and that time netted us Grant Hill.

Watch them slide into Cade at #1

Twolves getting another #1 pick would be some major BS. Already got KAT and ANT. Same goes for Cleveland who has gotten a bunch of #1 picks, and even NO who has gotten Davis and Zion in the past decade with #1 picks.
If we can't get it I'd see to see it go to Orlando or Toronto.

I'm so happy this season is done. I enjoyed about four-fifths, but this last part was not developmental. It was about the tank. And it was awful. I'm not criticizing the Pistons - matter. of fact congrats for putting the franchise in the best position for what it can control - but do not think letting the 24 and under club these last few weeks helped them become better players. It did not.

Except most of them did become better players over the course of the season. Hayes, Lee, Frank Jackson, Stewart and Bey were all better later in the season than they were early in the season, thus it was a win-win.

We finally tanked the right way. Of course we finally do it after the odds have changed in the lottery, but getting #2 is still a success. For me, it made the thought of ordering League Pass a "pass", but next year with (fingers crossed) Cade, we are headed in the right direction and maybe even the playoffs in the East.

I hope Minnesota gets #3 so they keep their pick rather than seeing it go to GSW.
Lottery results I most hope for -
Detroit
Orlando
Minnesota
Memphis
Houston falls back to five.

When I get a chance I'll have to go back through this thread and read it as I know there's so much comedic gold in here.
I'm old enough to remember when catching Minnesota was a pipedream and that we could learn a thing or 2 from OKC how to tank. And also let's not forget, you know, "leg contusions".

Who gave us lessons about how to win the lottery?
And how do the Cavs keep jumping over other teams for better picks in the lottery?

Lebron.
He doesn’t want to play in Cleveland, but he wants his home state team to be relevant. The NBA complies. It’s the only way all there lottery luck since 2003 makes sense.

You have to learn to pick your spots. Like waiting until May 18 to make your prediction on who will finish last in the NBA standings.
