Before Maddison was injured I'd rather have had Maddison but I wasn't talking of Maddison I was talking of Grealish who is well well clear of Mount. And in the 3 games we've played you this season Tielemans has shown that he is far better too.

It's Mount and Foden in another conversation from the rest. Tiel hitting a fluke screamer against T-rex arms Kepa doesn't change that. Was also invisible last night tbh.

No, It's mount and foden getting the usual "England star" treatment. Grealish is a far better player. Your comments on Tielemans are ludicrous. He has been Leicester's best player since he arrived on loan. Maybe you'll get to watch him play in the Euros and change your mind.

stormi wrote:It was getting battle of the bridge vibes and Pereira was getting physical with Chilwell. Of course you can replay it a million times and pinpoint where you want to start developinging your strawman, Rudiger steps up for his player that he thinks was just targeted. Proper captain material man. I loved seeing him Mendy, Silva and even Mount clear the rats out. Fitting way to end a satisfying win.

Ricardo fouled Chilwell during a game (no worse than many of the fouls that Chelsea players commited). Chilwell made a big deal of it so that he could waste some time - also very common. Rudiger pushed a man in the back who was walking away from him after the whistle had blown. That is not part of the game, it's a punk move by a punk (I'm sure he wouldn't have pushed Soyunchu in the back or even vardy for that matter) and certainly not a player who was bigger than him. That's not Captain material it's punk material. He should have been booked for it.

Your final sentence simply proves you're supporting the correct team. Fake, Punk teams attract fake punk supporters.

Your team is the exact reason that I would vehemently oppose this idea. But you're free to disagree.

Arsenal have been a big team for a lot longer than Chelsea.

There's no rivalry between a superleague team and any of the others. We just annoy you occasionally, but money will win through in the end.

I fully expect us to drop points today. But if by some miracle Pool finish above Leicester, HIF will absolutely lose his marbles. You can count on it.

I won't CJ. I expect you to win both your games; if you don't the Superleague teams will be shamed. Your reserves could beat Palace. I'm more than happy with Leicester's season. 5th and FA Cup winners is probably the second best season of our history. It's also a progression on last season. Europa Cup is good for us, if we can build more of a squad we have a chance to win that and if we can watch the games as fans there are some interesting places to visit. We'll never have the financial outlay to be able to win the CL.

However if you do lose and we finish above you, it'll be something I can remind you about for the rest of my life.

When your star player is wanting out it signifies the end of "elite" status. Your team is now in with the rest of us where we have to say goodbye to top players every season. picked off by the closed shop of the rich clubs.

Leicester have had players picked off every year

20/21 Chilwell
19/20 Maguire
18/19 Mahrez
17/18 Drinkwater
16/17 Kanté

Sometimes. Spurs were known as a selling team for years, we sold on Modric and Bale and still hung thereabouts in the top 6. When we do sell Kane, there's a thin line between being a team pushing for CL football, or becoming a mediocre mid-table side like Crystal Palace or Arsenal. That basically boils down to recruitment and investment, both in the coaching and playing staff.

Liverpool sold Coutinho to Barca for big money, but because they had brought Klopp in and made excellent signings to strengthen the squad, the team went from perennial nearly-men to an absolute force despite losing their star man (I'll add that they sold Sterling and Suarez for big money before that point too). I have serious doubts that Spurs will recruit anywhere near as well, or have the pull of a behemoth like Liverpool, but I think the only positive way I can view it is to see it as a chance for a new beginning and to build a new squad and culture under a new manager.

I would think the Hotspur stadium hasn't had a chance to have full-capacity crowds for matches yet but when they built it, they had high ambitions to generate greater revenues and compete at the highest levels?

In the US, new stadiums usually mean higher ticket prices and luxury suites usually leased by corporations, leading to revenues doubling or more. They deliberately go for more affluent fans to buy season tickets, maybe even pay for PSLs which can run in the tens of thousands.

So will the Spurs be able to tap into richer fans and perhaps generate revenues comparable to Manchester United, Chelsea or Arsenal?

Do EPL clubs also have dynamic ticket pricing? That is, when a club is having a good season and a strong competitor or historical rival visits, they boost the ticket prices.

Yes the rich do rip their fans off but the problem for Spurs is that they need the success on the pitch in order to fill the stadium and moreso to be internationally followed. I think Spurs will be fine but it wouldn't be the first team to extend their stadium at the wrong time and end up being unable to fill it.

In the mean time, Benteke scores an equaliser after fouling an Arsenal player.
It came from a free kick on Zaha after Pepe got mauled by a Palace player which wasn't penalised.

Classis Anthony Taylor.

Also the fans are throwing the ball on the pitch every time Chambers has to take a throw in to then boo him for time wasting.

And Spurs lost. Is that good or bad for Leicester's final game?

I read that the tickets were £60 at Spurs tonight. Bit steep.

Going to finish below one of the worst Arsenal teams in history. Absolute disaster of a season.

To think you guys were deemed as one of the title favorites at a certain point this season.
That would be something.

I’m still baffled by the decision to sack Mourinho a week ahead of a cup final against Pep.

While I think ruling with an iron fist no longer works in this era, I don’t know how anyone could think that Ryan Mason would get the team to perform better than Mourinho would.

Levy unnecessarily jeopardized (and ultimately lost) the Spurs chances of winning a trophy and at the very least guaranteeing Europa League football. Unless Kane supported sacking Mourinho, how would this level of instability and dysfunction convince a star to come to Spurs, let alone stay with them (if you’re Kane)?

The potential of finishing below Arsenal after the season they’ve had is truly baffling.

I agree with your assessment, but I think there's more to the Mourinho sacking than we're privy to. I don't think it's a coincidence that it happened on the same day that the Super League fiasco was announced. There were probably some internal squabbles going on between Jose and Levy.

Mason is woefully out of his depth. I don't blame him at all, it's ludicrous that he was given the job even on an interim basis, but to have him helm a cup final in his second game, as the youngest coach in PL history, is unconscionable.

As for the state of the season, it falls on everyone. While the recruitment has been terrible (how do you not sign an experienced CB?) I blame the players mostly. They hide and play scared when things get difficult, Kane included, for three coaches now. It's exhausting supporting this team. The owners are bilking the fans and trying to sell them on a luxury product when we're actually getting an economy one. I haven't felt this disillusioned since I was a kid supporting the club in the late 90s aka the George Graham and Christian Gross era, even though the club's stature has arguably grown a lot since then. There's absolutely nothing to feel any kind of pride about.

If we bring in a manager that inspires some confidence and is up for the challenge, that might change.
