I like using orange bitters with my bourbon old fashioneds. I play around with my simple syrup too, sometimes I’ll make it with brown sugar. Not sure if I can taste much of a difference, but I feel fancier :dontknow:

I make honey syrup, and regularly mix Gold Rushes come summer (I call them bourbon margaritas).

Can't wait!

Ooh... I’m going to have to try several of those!

So the only gimlets I drank were at this dive of a bar next to my place and I have no idea if it was an accurate gimlet, but they'd fill a cocktail glass with gin and ice, add an olive, and top with a thin layer of Rose's lime.

ETA: Yea, that's a **** up gimlet.

Lol. Olive in a gimlet sounds horrible!

Yeah they should basically be half gin and half lime juice. Lots of places use Rose’s, but I prefer fresh squeeze and simple syrup. Shaken with ice, and I’ll drink either up or on the rocks depending on my mood. If up I generally have a 4oz drink.

Gin gimlet is my favorite summer cocktail probably. It’s so refreshing on a hot day. Limeaid with booze.

Bittercube has some bomb ass bitters. Vennture brewing is experimenting with shrubs and bittercube bitters.

Went to a bar last night with mask initially on but noone including the bartender was wearing one so I popped mine off when coming in from the patio for a second drink. Felt incredibly exposed and anxious, I think I'll just be keeping it on for awhile.

I had to stop into Fleet Farm today for some feed and saw that the Bucks, Brewers, Badgers, Packers stuff was pretty much all on clearance. I picked up some Badgers camping chairs/tables that were 75% off.

Our store doesn’t have that much Bucks stuff, but there was a ton of Brewers Badgers Packers.

Need some help on a new grill. The last one I bought was a cheap crappy Nexgrill that ultimately rusted out (even with a cover on it).

Have been looking at the Traeger Pro 575, but the discount I thought I had fell through. So now I can't decide if I should just buy it, buy the Pro Series 22, or buy a nice Weber. Anyone have input on their grill method of choice?

My parents have a Kamado Joe that I’ve used a handful of times and that thing is pretty awesome! I can definitely taste the impact of adding wood in with the coals. That’s produced some of the best bbq chicken and burgers I’ve had in my life.

Last time I drank gimlets I blacked out playing Call of Duty.

You're probably using shi tty gin.

Hendrick's or Plymouth and you'll do just fine.

I bought this one and will never look back. Make breakfast on it every Sunday. Fantastic, and at that price point, I'll just buy a new one whenever this one dies.

Ended up going with the Traeger Pro 575. Didn't realize it needed to season for 2 hours so I didn't use it last night but I'm got some flank steak coming up this weekend and probably ribs or pork shoulder.

I was happy when we went back to the office in August or September or whatever it was, but I pretty quickly wished I could do a mixture of home and office. I didn't like not having a dedicated work space in my apartment with a proper desk setup, but I also realized once I worked from home that I could get all my work done in a total of a couple hours, leaving me free to **** around or be productive doing something else.

Today is actually the first day since March that work hasn't required masks. It's weird.

Based off their incredibly vague statements my guess is wel be doing hybrid at the very least. May just need to book some trips in the meantime and work from a hotel to change the scenery up a bit.

For whatever reason I really did not ever like Phil at all, so pretty indifferent. But it's a cool accomplishment, regardless of the victor.

I've made Kenji's Detroit style pizza three times now, and each of the last two times I've failed to remember that thick cut pepperoni ruins it. This time I added sausage and cooked it on the pizza the way he recommends, and it didn't turn out great. Even the crust comes out underdone. I think you have to par-bake it without toppings, pre-cook the sausage to get a good Maillard reaction, and absolutely use thinner pep.
