Wagner is a 3rd stringer center on THIS team?

The currently roster if fully healthy:
Fultz/Anthony/Hampton
Harris/Ross/Bacon
Isaac/Carter-WIlliams
Okeke
Carter/Bamba

Add a probable allocation of three rookies, at best Wagner is a low-minutes backup PF. But more reasonably, yes, he is a third-stringer next year if brought back.

As an aside, the above 11 players and three rookies means only one Wagner-type can be brought in. That could be the decider against Brazdeikis returning: no roster slot. I guess it depends on what the Magic do with the high SRP.

..

I know the structure of the roster...
I don’t think back up center can go either way. It’s not as cut and dry as people think.

The only way Wagner could be considered a 2nd string is if our worst fears have been realized, our bigs got injured again.

Hmm...We’ll see. It’s a big off season for Bamba.

its a big offseason for wcj and bamba. they are trying to get that extension and starting job after all. the loser probably gets the backup role and thus Wagner is the 3rd choice.
