Bolmaro in ... Nowell, McL, and Okogie types guys easily expendable with little upside.

With 21 wins everyone is a trade chip, so I can see that play here (with Bolmaro) as well, but I hope he’s not a mere throw in on a small time deal.

Nothing against him, he seems like a solid player, but he doesn’t exactly fit our needs at present. I mean as I said above to fit him in we either need to trade Ricky or Beasley. Ricky is Ant’s mentor and his up and down play muddles his trade value. Beasley is a legit sharpshooter on a great deal and provides instant offense to either unit. Also, if Balmaro is more a SG then PG that forces Ant to play SF and MCD to play PF if Bolmaro ever starts. I could see a move to trade Bolmaro for a late first round this year or as part of a package to try and bring in another big.
Great point....that's what I thought he was when we originally drafted him...mostly a future trade asset. A fair amount after the draft....something had surfaced that the Wolves made the Rubio trade with the thought that they were confident that even though they were considering Bey, Precious, & Jaden @ 17....they would still have shot @ Jaden late & originally the other pick was going to HOU for Tucker....HOU backs out & Wolves slide those couple picks to make sure they got Bolmaro (to ensure the draft & stash guy & not having 3 frp rooks this year).

Never got 100% confirmation & maybe just some writer's conspiracy theory...but makes a lot of sense (which made me more confident that he's future trade chip). Don't know if he's a singular trade piece but more of a necessary throw in on a trade....just hope that's more in the vain of a true upgrade vs "I'll give you Bolmaro rights if you take Culver for me" type of deal.

Why would they trade someone with very little
Value? They need to have him come over and improve his value.

Rosas traded up with New York to get him. I doubt he trades him as a trade chip

I don’t think Rosas will move him, but everyone is expendable in the right deal other than KAT/Ant.

Maybe Rosas sees Bolmaro as a good fit with Russell in the backcourt. He has some on-ball skills. High BBIQ. And looks like maybe a good defender.

If he comes over, at least one of Beasley/Rubio have to go to make role though. I wouldn’t mind both going, as I prefer Ant to get at least some SG minutes, which I think is his natural position.

I'm watching Bolmaro right now, Barcelona is playing against Baskonia (Former Nocioni, Scola, Splitter team and 3-4 best team in Spain).

I have put the game at middle game. In 10 minutes 11 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals.

He has 4/4 in triples, his improvement is huge, and his intensity in defense is crazy.

THIS CHILD IS GOING TO BE VERY GOOD

PS: It is quite unsightly.

Would he be a lottery pick in the 2021 draft?

Mike Schmitz has recently asserted that he believes that Bolmaro would be a lottery pick in this year's draft--take that for what you will. I'm not sure that I'd go as far to say that he'd be a top 10 pick, that being said after the first 5 picks this draft (in my opinion) doesn't really have a huge difference in quality for the rest of the lottery.

Game over. Led Barca (or tied for the lead) in points, rebounds, assists, and minutes. Finished 18 pts, 5 Rebs, and 4 assists (6-14 Fgs, 4-8 3pt). As Rulas said, against a pretty good ACB team.

Wish there was a way to watch Spanish League games but haven’t found it. It’ll be interesting to see if Barca keeps giving him a major role in the Euroleague Final Four at the end of the month.

For me right now, he would be in middle first round.

He is going to be differencial in defense since day one.

on this defense, can this dude be like Campazzo who seems to be a non-stop pest on defense?

Oh for sure, except he's 6-7 inches taller.

3 minutes of Bolmaro highlights from that game.

I like how proactive he is.

He also has pretty good footwork and a fairly quick release on his J.

You have to love the size too.

Note that he was going against Thierre or whatever his name is, who it was rumored the Wolves were looking at.

So who had the better season? Paul or Holiday?

Still think Juancho isn’t soft?

Can’t remember our other discussion.

I thought this was noteworthy. To me it signals they have plans for a bigger wing addition (draft or trade), and if so wouldn't bring him over for another year.

Nowell has TONS of upside, wouldn't call him easily expendable.

If he can do this, makes me think he has what it takes to run an offense in the half court in the NBA..

I am getting more and more excited about this dude by the day. He really could be the perfect fit for this team..

When Russell returned after the AS break, our second unit was mostly: McGlaughlin/Russell/Hernangomez/Vanderbilt/Reid

It worked well because we had height, three point shooting, and a great cutter in Hernangomez.. Also helped because we had an All Star in Russell leading the unit. With Russell returning to the starting lineup, there's been concern about what that second unit would look like.

Imagine Bolmaro/Beasely/Hernangomez/Vanderbilt/Reid -- a lineup that gives you perhaps even better shooting, but doesn't sacrifice on defense..

If Bolmaro can initiate the offense like he did in that above video on the regular, I'd be very excited if I was a wolves fan.

Good find. Doesn’t sound like it’s 100% he’s coming over this summer. Depends on if we can make moves that give him a clear role on the team, so he can continue to develop.

I’ve only seen a few full games of his. But to me, he’s a guy you want more as a secondary initiator as opposed to a pure PG. If the shot continues to progress, I could see a ceiling as a Lonzo Ball or Halliburton type. That’s a really high end role player.
