It's going to be a lot tougher for Memphis to score. Even if Morant gets past his guy, he's got Gobert waiting down low. I expect JJJ to get ample minutes in this series to try to spread the Jazz defense. I like where JJJ was in his development pre-injury, but he hasn't gotten back to that point post-injury. He needs to play smart and focused for Memphis to have a chance. Jazz in 6.

Grizzlies will be tough defensively, but historically they haven't been able to contain the Jazz's scorers. Jazz have too many guys who can shoot off a screen or get deep in the paint.

By contrast, Memphis isn't one of the better shooting teams, and the Jazz have really solid rim defense, plus 3pt defense. I think you'll see Dillon Brooks and Ja Morant shooting quite a bit from mid-range. To really compete, I think Ja, Jonas and Kyle are going to have to be pretty special offensively.

won't be the cake walk people think imo. The grizz will play hard and loose knowing no one really expected them to be here, and as we seen last year the Jazz can cough up a 3-1 lead with no problem. Should be a decent series. After tonight looking forward to Morant adding to his resume.

Non-delusional Jazz fan here. This is going to be a much more competitive series than most Jazz fans think. I'm seeing Jazz in 4 or 5 almost 99% of the time on Twitter. And the Jazz might win in 5 but it isn't going to be a cake walk that they all think.

First off Mitchell is coming off an ankle injury he says was worse than reported. The Jazz have been all kinds of inconsistent without him and Conley. Memphis was down 3 with :30 left in 2 of the 3 games this year and they didn't have JJJ. They have Anderson to put on Bogey and Brooks to put on Mitchell. Memphis has one of the deepest benches in the league, one of the few teams that can match the Jazz on that front.

The Jazz have been susceptible to mid-range shooting teams and almost half (9) of their losses came against teams that only made 11 of less 3s. So the worry about Memphis lack of 3pt shooting is largely an overreaction.

I'm not going to go into where the Jazz excel because it's well known and documented. I'm just saying this isn't a cakewalk by any stretch. The Jazz are going to have to grind out this series, I only expect 1, maybe 2 wins by double figures. Expecting a lot of close games. Wouldn't be shocked at all to see this to 7 but I'm taking the Jazz in 6.

Utah in 6 based on the fact that it is a much more experienced team and a well-oiled machine. Other than that it is a difficult match-up and jazz fans should not be cocky. I objectively rate Morant higher than Mitchel and if jazz did not have Conley I would say it can go to Game 7. Grizz do not loo like a team satisfied to be in the PO and just it.

Most people on this board just want to watch LeBron and Curry. They don't care about actually good team basketball, something which this series promises to give a lot of.
