Not really crying about Crowder more so of how bad the front office played it. They signed Mo phucking Hopeless.

There was a report that Morris (older one) was on the table and Mo was the fallback :banghead:

Our fascination with Giannis was really the cause. We can definitely give Jae his bag.

meh Markief Morris (?) would not have made any difference against Giannis. he's got DNP from Lakers even with the absence of LBJ and AD and just a cheer leader this year i think.

the combination of Giannis and Lopez is just too big and athletic for us tbh. Spo thinks we just need to box out, but those guy (esp. Giannis) are getting rebounds over Bam and Ariza/Iggie or deflecting the ball to his teammates. we're losing the volleyball fight and it's not really close

Bruh I just rewatched the possessions of Bam in this game. It fn embarrassing, he was playing as if there was a invisible player defending him. Lopez was not attempting to defend him. It almost looked like he was getting doubled team by two imaginary defenders.

Bam wanted the bag and he got it. Now he gets what comes with it. Perform or GTFO.

Maybe I am more delusional than optimistic then, because I think we can take the Nets and Sixers also.

Sad that Spo refuses to play Dedmon and Bam together. Dedmon can actually shoot 3’s unlike Iguodala.

Now THIS is swagger. You make Tyler Herro look like a wallflower.

It's been the same stuff all year with him. Just a month ago Jimmy said publicly he needs to play bully ball and attack the basket. Now today, in a playoff game, Jimmy had to literally yell at him to attack because he was holding the ball waiting for Duncan to get open while his man was sagging 7 ft off. And we have people crying about Jae freaking Crowder. I don't have so much a problem giving Draymond a max contract if Steph Curry and Klay Thompson are on my roster. But this team is going to have a big problem if Bam continues with this passive crap.

Thank you.

Idk if people are being emotional about the loss or just looking at the statline to say this was a "two stars" problem today, but if they go back they will see how wrong they are. This game was entirely on Bam. And I mean entirely.

No, he's too valuable on defense. We may simply have to accept that he can't be a stud on offense. If we bring in another star, it won't matter if Bam doesn't turn into an offensive weapon.

Still mad about that Duncan flagrant. What a load of crap.

Sucks because if Jimmy just went 5/22 and Bam 5/15, we’d have won. Simplistic way to look at it, but facts all the same.

Golden state was the ideal. They lucked on their team construction. Presently its going to be hard to get a 3rd star with the assets we have unless they come through FA. If we can't hit FA, the team has to quietly shop around to see what we can get. To win it all you need a star player who can get to the rim and get FTs. With Butler/Dragic ageing, if Bam can't be that guy then were gonna be stuck as one of those teams that stuff to play against but not really an allstar.
If Kawhi signs in FA great Bam can just be a defense guy if not he better step up offenively. When you get paid Max, there are expectations to be elite on both sides

Honestly what the heck was Butler thinking shooting 3s this game. It’s like he was check out mentally. We have seen Butler plays with passion will his team to a win and we saw this game. No need to say anything else. Something must be going on in Butler’s life. Bam was not good but he’s not the star of the team either.

Duncan was amazing this game and will get paid this off-season.

He's a beta.

It has to do a lot with the reality that he is extremely limited as an offensive player.

Someone needs to teach him footwork and release-point variance.

Watching Giannis do euro steps, spins, and step-throughs and how he couples his adept footwork with scoop shots and stretch dunks/finger rolls, and then watching just how limited Bam is by comparison, it's a laughable disparity.

Bam often capitulates his attack when confronted with any resistance because he has no counter moves.

His summer home hopefully will be a gym.

I'm mad that there is no consistency. Jimmy got fouled hard and fell on his butt really hard but they didn't even gather up to consider reviewing the play, like at all. Just because someone didn't get elbowed in the face it doesn't mean it's a clean play :x

On the other end elbowing people in the faces for a layup is Yennies signature move and refs think it's cool. GG

Spo drilled in Bam’s head that he’s a facilitator, and a DHO specialist, and he seems content to be that for now unless he can out athlete his matchup. Not good enough. He needs a kick in the ass by somebody.
