I mean really the biggest difference is Portland can't buy a bucket from outside and it feels like every Denver player can.

I think it’s not effort — just execution. Yeah, I’d like Portland to lock down more defensively, but I don’t expect much on that end.

I mean the defense was vastly improved in the last 6ish games of the season so they definitely can do more there. I think I saw the stats that we #1 on net rating of any team over the last like 6 or so games.

Yeah Blazers are making some shots now and its a game again. But Denver seems a little more consistent defensively and going for rebounds which is making it easier for them to have success. Portland is doing some of their normal things well like not getting TOs which obviously helps too. But if Portland could rebound more that would go a long ways.
