yeah.. i read quite a lot in that article until they mentioned Isaac 7'6 wingspan and Bambas 7'10 wingspan.

I guess its natural he grew. ay that time of the article he was 6'11 222lbs as well.

seriously though, a lot of pics showed he is taller than Vucs 7ft height. but he keeps saying he doesnt want to be called a 7footer(lol)
I think Vuc measured 6'10 and Isaac 6'11" last year w/o shoes, when the NBA did the official measurements.

i personally never understood using barefoot height, they dont play barefoot.

Hmm. I never thought of it like that.

From the entertainment point of view (or in other words, from the fans' perspective), players' height in shoes is how we see them and also makes the case for making these guys larger than life.

It's like pro wrestling when you think about it.

My whole thing is, if they're going to change the standard, it throws into wack player comparisons from back in the day. So we need to know when they were measured barefoot and when they weren't.

It feels like everyone jumped ship with Moody after his last game

I still like him with the Bulls pick, he just looks like a good pro to me. I don’t think he’s a guy that will be a primary shot creator but he looks like advanced shooter with defensive upside on the wing. He gives me Khris Middleton/Mikal Bridges vibes.

Considering the quality of guys in this draft outside of the top 5 I would be happy with one of Barnes/Moody/Keon Johnson/Bouknight

So, being in california, i dont get much UF games out here and so ive really only seen Tre Mann from highlight, scouting youtube videos.......What am i missing? Whats wrong with him? im just assuming you guys in florida have gotten to watch him play quite a bit more than i have (ive maybe seen 1 of his games, if that)
I get it, youtube highlights can make anyone look good, but i dont know, he seems to have an NBA level skillset and outside of lacking elite athleticism, what is preventing him from being talked about as a lotto pick?

From youtube videos (i know), he seems to have a very (poor mans) Dame Lillard-esqe game and can see him being one of the better scorers from this draft class

Probably cuz some players ( Meer cough cough ) uses shoes with 2inch paddings and thus makes it less accurate? So to be somewhat equal for all, just measure them barefoot and if they look taller than comparison, you know its not a growth spurt but their brand of shoes.

Indeed: There is speculation that Isaac is a true 6' 13" now; kind of Durant range. For these players that can float between SF and PF, it is somehow seen as a negative to use the number-7.

Look at the angle below placing Isaac being behind Vučević he would actually be artificially made to look shorter, and he is still clearly much taller. It is easy to suppose that Isaac is a true 7-footer. ((As an aside, when Isaac is next to Bamba, Isaac does look an inch shorter; so: is Bamba actually taller than the listed 7' 0" ? It sure looks like it. ))

Sweet, we won the coin toss.
It could not possibly have played out better for us.
I'd forgotten that the odds would be split amongst the tied teams.

Chicago/Magic won, so Chicago gets the #8 slot.
But the odds of them hitting the top-four went down, versus had they gotten the #8 slot based on their record.
Because #8/9/10 slots split the odds. So Chicago's chances of getting into the top four went DOWN.
But Magic get the best possible slot if Chicago doesn't move into the top four.

Chicago cannot slot further than #12 and that only happens if four teams behind them move into the top-four.

Well I dunno abut you guys but I used to play ball with different shoes and I noticed some brands makes me feel an inch and a half taller while other brands barely an inch (with their soles I mean )

That was only for the tiebreakers lol. Can still lose the 8 pick (or go down if someone beyond 8 moves up).

VERY good outcome for us. It couldn't have been any better. CZ Eddie outlined it perfectly.

Not happening. Very very very slim odds.

20% is still decent, but it's good since those 3 all have the same odds (8-10).

Fun fact, Chicago won a tiebreaker with Kings in 2018 to win 6th instead of 7th.. Kings ended up moving up to #2 while Bulls ended up in 7th.

You forget you are a Magic fan bro? Expect the worst case scenario because that's what usually happens to us. If it's not.. then that's a win.

I wouldn't say 20% is very slim. Just unlikely. More likely than hitting one particular side on a diceroll.

If Toronto is at 7 with Moody on the board, here's hoping the Magic "trade" something so that the Raptors select one of the SFs. Maybe part of a Ross package to return to Toronto?

Well 26.7% is basically the same on a 4-sided die.
