NBA awards are a joke and meaningless in the modern era.

Do one for Giannis too. Legitimately a bottom 3 skilled players in the league that's farmed accolades in efforts of Silver trying to expand the game's international brand.

Ok bro. Does Silver get 500 ballots or something? You know 100 votes are given out and people track who voted for who right to make sure no funny business is going on?

No you probably dont.

We know many awards are given just to promote a narrative, to deny this is just plain silly.

Things got tight somewhat down the stretch with Harris missing 5x in a row, but they single covered Embiid and soft doubled him which is borderline stupidity lol.
Harris played great
Embiid was Embiid
And Ben is always the vital part of the team engine just not vital to scoring/shooting

Kind like the 3x long wings (Green, Hill, Korkmaz) with Embiid/Ben

We have depth so there’s a crap ton of variations to put out there.

Man this team is legit one player away like it’s always been. Embiid 1a/1b, Ben 3rd, get the 2nd banana and everything is sweet.

The Wiz ended the season really strongly, they are not the pushovers they were early in the season. We should beat them, but it will not be a cakewalk and as long as it doesn't get too drawn out, being challenged in this round won't be an altogether bad thing for the Sixers putting their playoff run into gear.

Honestly, I would be more prepared for a tough series if the Wizards had a stout defense. But they're swiss cheese. This should be a 4-0 series with a large margin of victory. We just played really poorly defensively today. And obviously we shot poorly from three for the majority of the game.

Can we all please acknowledge that Tobias Harris came to **** play! 37 points, when Ben was no where to be seen as a scorer, and the refs made sure the Jo was no where to be seen in the first half, was huge. This was Washington's best chance of getting a win, when everything went wrong for us in this game. Bodes well for the rest of the series. If Tobi can give you a consistent 25 ppg then we're in good shape for the playoffs. Ben does need to up his output to 15-20 ppg though for us to have a chance this year. There are going to be games that Jo might not fire, and Ben can't go awol from a scoring perspective.

We match great against them, i don't see why people are so concern.

I said it in the thread on the general board already but Tobi is gonna keep scoring because their starting unit includes Neto/Westbrook/Beal with Ish from the bench, so Tobias is going to get to the rim at will or have a mismatch constantly.

They cannot guard Embiid and our length makes Westbrook's drives difficult.

The only problem they can give us is in transition and is mostly on the minutes Dwight is replacing Joel

Problem is who do trade for that second banana? Need to keep Tobi IMO, feel like if we dont' it'll be a step back.

I think that’s the bad part about Ben. Has he squandered truly a legendary ceiling? Most likely.
Is he a bad player? Heck no. I always have him as the 3rd rank (if you want to add everything together offense/defense)
That’s my vision 3 players above him on scoring but he’s still the undisputed 3rd best player on a championship team, exactly like Green was.

If he could Hit floaters, Bank shots, Hooks, ATG driver to the rim and then shoot 34% from 3 he’d be a 6”10” Lebron and be way better then Giannis. But then you’re talking about a different player.

Still I reckon he could get 10+ Points within the first 2 quarters by taking the initiative early before everyone is set for the dog/slow bog down fight way later in the game.

Ben is Ben for better or worse.

In my opinion Tobias' is not nearly as bad as last year, with his all star level play. It's not the best contract, but not untradable by any means.

LeVert would have been nice. Bogdanović who is killing it on the Hawks. Buddy Hield?

Someone who broke out with their new team like Jordan Clarkson.

That’s the catch 22 there, we’ve squandered so many opportunities and mistakes that took too long to rectify.

Question then becomes do you sac 3rd for your 2nd option? In theory you’d say yes but if there’s a way to keep Ben (because I have him over Harris as 3rd)
And get the 2nd, we might only have enough pieces left for a one shot type deal. Whereas before we probably had enough for three (literally had a King’s war chest).

Butler/Harris/Harden that’s three into one now. We used up so many assets now we have to carefully consider everything and weight up what is best.

He's 24 and played with a dysfunctional coach and organisation for his first 3 years. Chill.
