Grizz have reinvented grit and grind but with perimeter oriented players

how the hell are you a Dpoy and are constantly in foul trouble when it matters in the playoffs? He doesnt even do anything on offense besides get offensive boards and roll to the rim

jonas historically limits rudy's impact in their matchups.

40 mil for a defensive minded player is incredibly stupid.

Everything went there way, Gobert and Conley with early foul trouble, Rudy fouling out, Utah having terrible issues with turnovers in the second quarter (at one point it was 6 out of 8 plays), Utah's worst shooting night from three that I remember seeing all season, and Mitchell out.

Looking forward to the rest of the series, though, and hope that there are some more close games in it.

The Jazz missed soooo many shots in the 1st half. Their 10 pt lead could have been 20.

Jonas occupies Rudy, so he can't freelance as much.

Ja puts as much pressure on the rim as anybody in the league. His dexterity and touch from such explosion and quickness is top of the charts if not off it.

It’s Kevin Harlan.

My bad!!

Kevin Harlan is the one who sucks. Mike Breen is great.

Hopefully this wakes the Jazz up.

While losing game 1 of a series as the favorite is never easy to stomach, I'd still feel mostly confident in my team if I were a Jazz fan. The Grizzlies are coming off already being engrossed in playoff basketball with the two play-in games while the Jazz had a long layoff. You guys were down 15 with about 8 minutes to go in the game and still had a chance to win it on your last possession down by 3. And Gobert fouled out with about 4-5 minutes to go and obviously you didn't have Donovan Mitchell.

Now that the Jazz have the game 1 rust shaken off, and if Mitchell plays the rest of the series, I'd still feel good about this series going forward.

Grizzlies earned this win. That said, every Quin Snyder series I've watched, he uses the first game to feel things out, test matchups and gather data. I expect some adjustments in Game 2.

Utah will never be a serious contender when one of your highest paid player has to sit when its clutch time. no cap.
