Oh I think it’s quite clear he was trying to impact the game w/o playing. The guy is correct to say what Rudy did was lame and cheap. It worked though. He got the guy to push him, a foul called for a player not even playing. Unreal.

My question is how is it legal for dudes to come off the bench and roam around the perimeter

I don't believe there was a foul called.

Well I don’t claim the worlds best memory and I drink a lot but I remember that action having a consequence maybe a tech but something

In any case if dudes are allowed to just roam around like that there will be off court fights and players getting ejected while not even playing.

I saw a problem and even though it’s my guy that was a bad precedent

Feels like the Grizz matured five years since that first game against Golden state. Now that I look back at it they were actually on their way to stealing that game before Brooks picked up his 6th and Curry went rampage, was no fluke

Don't worry, it's not just Rudy, in the Lakers/Warriors play-in game Dudley came on court during play to spook a shooter (I think it was Poole?).

League 100% needs to get the bench under control. Suspensions, ehh, not a huge fan. Big fines though? I like that.

Yea for sure

I saw Malice at the palace result in some changes. I hope there isn’t another embarrassment like that before this gets addressed. Glad it was Gobert. The league can’t ignore that imo

The Grizz have been a pleasant surprise so far. Even if they lose this series they deserve to be here over the Warriors.

Steph is just almost always coming up short when it matters.

Warriors switching is a horrible matchup for Utahs system and Draymond is a far better playoff defender than Rudy. They gave them fits and were better than them after they went to this 8 player lineup. Steph wouldve cleared 30 PPG easily against them too and mightve won as an 8 seed. His legacy wouldve gotten a huge boost

instead in overtime, when facing elimination he got outplayed by a sophomore Ja Morant and had his season ended

The same Ja Morant that went on social media and called him the MVP of the league.

Grizz fans have Curry PTSD. Hope to never face him in an important game again.

Wow! Let’s go Grizz! The playoffs and the play-in tourney has not disappointed. High quality basketball altogether.

Rudy Gobert is so overrated  but go ahead keep hyping him up, he'll never be a franchise player, Mitchell is the best they have

Mavs and Suns weren’t upsets to me. Suns have looked the best out of all of the teams for me and the Clips don’t scare the Mavs in fact healthy Zingis last year the Clippers would have been up to their necks in it.

Also Jazz aren’t top tier but that only takes one look the team. Can’t got far without a superstar or least someone that can put pressure on offensively, by committee doesn’t work, never has. Their philosophy relies on role players and not their best players for it to work.

People really in here singing praises for Gobert's defense... spoiler alert, picking up 6 fouls in 25 minutes is AWFUL defense.

JV has always been excellent against Gobert, so this should be a fun series.

That said, it's difficult to draw much from a game 1 without Mitchell playing.

That's too simplistic. Sometimes refs just call ticky tack crap and there's nothing you can do. Good defensive players usually do get a lot of fouls because they are in it all the time and constantly making the refs decide if something needs to be called or not. A guy like Enes Kanter won't ever foul out of a game and its' not because he plays amazing defense.

I have said I expected Grizz to win 2 games at least. Jazz are a good team, but they still don't believe in them. Still, they are a deeper team, and with Mitchell playing everything will be easier for other guys.
