i remember it. so many people all in on AG, no way they could play together, Harris had to leave, he was a scrub, etc etc.

didnt want to hear that Harris could make the full time move to SF

i would really like to know how much, if any decision Skiles had on that trade.

There are few missinformations when it comes to them.

Skiles left Bucks before Bucks traded Harris. Skiles and Bucks mutally agreed to part ways at January 13, 2013.

Bucks, traded Harris late in February 2013, under coach Larry Drew.

It's no secret that Skiles didn't play him when they were together with Bucks, and to be honest, it's not hard to figure why. Hammond was desparate to make playoffs because his a** was on fire and he was prime candidate to get fired. Sanders was 24 and promising, Moute & Ilyasova were young (25 & 26) and productive and Dunleavy was Mr. Reliable, as he always was.

In Orlando, under Skiles, there was simply more mouth to feed so Harris averaged less points than in previous year.
If i had to bet, i would bet that Hennigan thought Gordon will be star so he moved Harris to give him more PT & usage.
If you need evidence of it, just look at his PT, it went from 20 mpg to 28 mpg after trade and his usage went from 16% to 18,5%. He averaged almost as many shots in March (148) than he,before trade averaged in November & December combind ( 158).

When you put things in perspective, i can't shake of feeling we traded Harris because we thought Gordon is future allstar.

Skiles was better connected to Magic upper level management than Hennigan. I fully believe there was a power play there and Skiles won. Now, I can see a scenario where Hennigan may have thought that AG could be a star so he wasnt going to fight trading Harris to give Skiles a couple of players he was comfortable with and liked, just to keep his coach happy, a coach who would go around the GM and complain to Magic ownership whenever he felt like it.

But i fully believe Skiles was the main reason for that trade, a bad trade that got us a bag of chips for Harris.

Also, kinda OT but this is the thread for it. Any of you read those articles ( I dunno if its true ) that the Jazz locker has been picking sides between Gobert and Mitchell? With a lot of players siding with Rudy because he makes them win over Mitchell who prefers to be in sportscenter or something?

2021 CHI pick, Expiring Harris, one of Cole/RJ , 2024 DEN pick plus fillers for Mitchell? LOL

I would have agreed with this statement if the magic had Simmons and Joel but they don't, lol. Harris is great in the role he plays where just has to score. He may be the 2nd option but he is their third best player. That team only goes as far as Ben and Embiid takes them. You put Harris on the current magic team and his impact is really not much more than Vuc, Evan, and AG. The magic have always had good role players but they never had the stars to lead the team. The fact that Harris doesn't have to do more than what he is capable of doing is why he is excelling in Philadelphia.

The Bucks up 26 points at the end of quarter-1 is the leading story today. But I was more impressed that the Bucks then went on to win quarters 2, 3, and 4. Keep the foot on the accelerator!

Is it wrong of me to not like A. Gordon and laugh at him everytime he goes iso and hits a brick? I feel like he didn't like playing for a losing team but he was one of the reason we lost so much he's just not a great player.

I am not even mad that they chose AG as the one to keep, that is just hindsight, ppl expected more of AG. What pissed me off about that trade was the garbage return we got back. Not even a draft pick, lol, which even with the pick the trade would suck. I still remember that SVG was like..."oook.....dummies"...smh. It was another move like the Ibaka trade or Biz signing where the team tries to take shortcuts as if we are ready to compete.

There is nothing wrong with feeling any particular way. You’re a fan. You can feel anything you want about players / teams.

I personally completely disagree. AG never panned out for us and never became the player we wanted him to be or perhaps the player he thinks he is but that doesn’t mean he didn’t work hard and give his all for Orlando. I do appreciate AG and wish him well.

Seeing headlines like this from big games like last night makes me happy for him. He seems to be finding his rhythm in the right role in big moments. He will do so even better once Murray is back next season and AG is less of an offensive focus.

Soo.... tensions in the Jazz locker room with Mitchell again in the eyes of the storm.

8th pick , SRP, one of Cole/RJ, expiring Harris, 2023 CHI, 2024 DEN for Mitchell. Who says no? ( lol im not brave enough to post this in the T&T section)

if Luka stays healthy, he might end up being one of greatest ever. Guy is owning series against hall of famer in his prime + 1 allstar/superstar . Guy is 21 years old.

He'll be exposed before the playoffs is over. If he has to guard Durant, his season probably won't end on a high note.

Please. Durant has ‘exposed’ much better players than Harris plenty of times in his career. Getting lit up by one of the best scorers in history during a playoff series isn’t a damning occurrence for anybody of Tobias’s caliber.

I swear those games really pissed me off, we should have fired Vogal mid season and gone straight tanking. Could you imagine our team with Doncic, we were a much deeper team than Dallas.
