Even then, I would do it on a limited basis. Only when Jokic has the ball in the low post, and only if you can double off a non-shooter. I'd rather give Jokic 2 points than let him find an open shooter for a wide open 3. The last thing you want to do is let DEN's role players get open looks and build their confidence.

Of course, you would only double when he has the ball. You can't let Joker put Kanter on his back and have all the time he wants to back him in for an easy 2.

I said only double him IN THE LOW POST when he has the ball. Not the same thing as doubling him every time he has the ball.

No, Joker killed Kanter 2 years ago and he's killing him worse now.

No he didn't. Stop rewriting history. Yes, Jokic put up good numbers in that series, but he averaged 42.2 MPG.

Here's what Jokic averaged in 42.2 MPG in that series: 27.1 ppg, 13.9 rpg, 7.7 apg

Here's what he averaged for the season, against the rest of the league, extrapolated to 42.2 MPG: 27.1 ppg, 14.6 rpg, 9.8 apg

He didn't "kill" an injured Kanter any worse in that series than he did to rest of the league that entire season. But now Kanter is the back up and only playing 15 MPG in this series, and only about 4 of those minutes when Jokic is on the floor. Do we really need to develop and entire new strategy for those 4 minutes? Do we really need to risk wearing down Nurk and a potential fatigue related injury so he matches Jokic minute-for-minute?

I think we're just going to have to disagree.

Uh why was Carmelo given a flagrant for a push in the back? And wasn't Jokic elbowing him to get position right before that?

Explain why Porter Jr. was barely punished for walking up and shoving Nurkic during a timeout.

The refs are handling this Denver team with kid gloves.

We knew they'd come out with energy and a run. I expect more runs throughout the game, this is a must win for them. Key is to weather them, don't panic, stick to the gameplan that works.

More energy? They are doing everything in their power to try to piss off the Blazers players Porter Jr. is a piece of **** that is dirty as ****. Their entire strategy is they can't win in a fair fight so play dirty.

They also have the largest home court advantage in the NBA, since in the USA there is no city that is anywhere close to the elevation of Denver.

The fans could literally not show up and it would still be the biggest natural advantage in all of sports.

Kinda sensed a Denver blowout before this game, and it seems to be playing out that way. Yikes.

CJ's shooting well but he's not making great decisions with the ball right now and he's having trouble running the offense while Dame's off the ball or not in the game. Pressure they're applying is getting to him a bit in that regard. We need to tighten up the turnovers and defensive assignments in the second half.

I think the elevation advantage is exaggerated. People need to be somewhere for weeks to really acclimatize and see an advantage. NBA teams travel frequently so the Nuggets are not there for weeks at a time except preseason. The Nuggets might be slightly less affected by the altitude but its not like they are immune to it. A sport like football could be different where the Denver team could be at home for weeks. Salt Lake City is also over 4200 ft, about 1000 less than Denver. What would create an advantage is if players or teams trained at high altitude for months before the season like professional runners do. There are also setups you can put in your house to replicate altitude. I remember Gilbert Arenas supposedly slept in a high altitude training tent. So most nba players could do that and get a greater advantage than being in Denver would give.

Good decision by CJ to do the drive. I also feel like we need to stop getting NOrman shots off isos and it'd be more beneficial if we ran screens off the ball for him to catch and shoot.

If Powell was anywhere close to his averages as compared to being 0-3 from 3, that would help.

Wow this call is the worst **** call in the entire game by far.

If I was Stotts I would have probably picked up a T bitching about this.

Clownpazo flops to the floor and then they give him 2 FT's and the ball are you **** kidding me. I swear I am this close to stop watching the NBA anymore with stupid calls like this being rewarded.

**** Clownpazo and I hope he gets his comeuppance.

I swear the NBA becomes more and more like WWE every **** year.

All we need is the players to give speeches before the match calling each other out and you have the same **** thing.

Done with Kanter. He has a couple skills at a high level against many teams, but his D is unwatchable and protects the rim less than Leonard ... okay that MAY be exaggeration ... maybe. Just gone.
