I mean, if you manage to make Stephen Jackson look like the bigger man, you know there's something wrong with that picture.

Kwame looks like somebody that's in bad place mentally lashing out like that in response to relatively innocuous comments.

I hope he's alright, it's no shame buckling under the kind of expectations that came with being thrust into the spotlight at such a tender age.

Very few people are cut out to deal with that kind of pressure.

Mans been quiet as a church mouse for a 20 years. Looks like he just finally had enough. I never even heard him speak before this. I dunno that he's in some bad place. He was heated but dropped some solid points and was unintentionally hilarious. He was also refreshingly honest and real. He came out the big time winner in this. Definitely raised his profile and got people clamoring for more from him.

I'm not sure where this is headed - it could end up going sideways pretty quickly. But mostly, I agree with Dat. Also - I get that Stephen A. Smith is an entertainer first, but his job is only to either pile on or tear down these players, and only gets more attention and money when he's more outlandish in his criticisms. That just sits the wrong way, and I can imagine a guy like Kwame or anyone else Smith has dumped on getting fed up.
Can't say I do. Who else gonna shoot?

I don't buy that rumor at all. Abe wasn't known for meddling on personnel matters (outside of contract negotiations). And, I can't imagine that Jordan didn't have enough stroke to do what he wanted with the pick -- especially in a year when a) none of the top prospects were major box office draws coming into the draft, and b) Jordan was planning to return and generate plenty of ticket and merch sales on his own.

So, EG covering for Arenas doesn't jibe with the facts.

There was exactly one person covering somebody, and that was Butler for Crittenton, going as far as stashing the gun and claiming that Javaris was pointing an iPod at Arenas.

Ask yourself, why was Arenas the one charged with a felony count of weapons possession for bring unloaded guns to the locker room and Crittenton came away scott free?

In carons book he said Crit pulled out a gun ,cocked and loaded at e!!!!! okay im so **** confused here @dsteve92 stop me if im lying….but wasnt CB the person who hiding crit gun and said it was a #IPOD??

I took a#FELONY becuz You told them #crit didnt have anything and i pointed the gun at him.

Thats why the world thinks im the one who pulled the Gun on my teammate and thats the story the team thought was correct…becuz u convinced the team he didnt have it….

If ur story is correct in ur book #Toughjuice and he had a loaded gun pointed at me…HOW THE **** DID i get a felony charge and 30 days in a halfway house and all he got was a slap on the wrist and a misdemeanor charge and i didnt touch one gun or was near any guns #BISWHAT.

It took the DA 1 month to find his gun becuz u had it..i respected u as a teammate but this was foul knowing what u did….i kept my mouth close and u dry snitch the wrong story like u were a role model and some super teammate.

Lol, it took me a minute to get the subtle sarcasm there. :D In fairness, he was a player best to get after his second contract.

The Polish Hammer is long gone, but he recently sold his Arlington home for the asking price of $1,700,000

In this fun thought exercise, Jan Vesely doesn't get drafted at all in the 1st round, perhaps Hands11 can return to mount a defense. I will be curious to see Jan and Sato at the Olympics though.

I'd take Butler over Kyrie easily. I'd take Klay over Kyrie too. I just don't trust Kyrie's leadership or health. Outside of two good playoff runs with Lebron in Cleveland, what has Kyrie ever done in this league?

I think I would take Klay over Butler- one would have to hope that Klay doesn't suffer those devastating injuries if he does not play so many playoff games.

BTW, Kyrie had 3 NBA Finals appearances with the Cavs. Does LeBron decide to come back to Cleveland in 2014 Jimmy Butler or 2014 Klay is there instead of Kyrie or even 2014 Kawhi (note he would not have faced LeBron in the finals in 2014) or was LeBron heading back to Cleveland no matter what? This would actually increase Irving's value in a redraft.

It would be an interesting thought exercise if Butler/Kyrie swapped careers.

- Kyrie playing with a healthy Derrick Rose and a Thibs defense in 2011.
- What would the 2014 Bulls do with Kyrie in the playoffs against the Wizards instead of Butler?
- If Jimmy Butler was indeed a better leader, would it have hurt the Cavs in the long run of accumulating top picks to trade for Kevin Love? Probably not given how bad the talent was at Cleveland at the time.
- Jimmy Butler with LeBron would have been interesting although perhaps Kyrie compliments Lebron better. Does LeBron decide to go back?
- Butler may have done better with the 2018 Celtics.
- Kyrie may have done better with the 2019 76ers.
- Kyrie's trade value may have been higher at the time when he was traded. But the Bulls actually got a much better offer (Lavine and Markennan)- but haven't made the playoffs since.
- Kyrie in the Heat culture- does it lead to a finals trip? What would a Kyrie vs LeBron playoff series look like?
- Also Kyrie being younger probably gives him the opportunity to have a better career going forward although who knows given how the last few years have played out.

Also Kyrie with Pop would have been pretty interesting.

For Germany, Orlando Magic center Moe Wagner added 11 points and five rebounds in 17 minutes of play. Washington Wizards forward Isaac Bonga made key free throws down the stretch and finished with a near double- double (13 points, nine rebounds) in 26 minutes.

This was last week, Bonga is interviewed

Bonga is not a "Former Wizard" -- at least not yet....
Breaking News: In a shocking development, Wizards owner Ted Leonsis has sold the NBA franchise to a consortium of participants in a discussion board devoted to the team on realgm.com. Details to follow....
