No star of past or present has ever ISO-balled their team to a championship, outside of a competent team structure. You run the offense in order to diagnose the defense, and THEN when all else fails, let your stars go deliver.

"past or present" doesnt matter. No team has had this compilation of elite ISO talent before.

Also, there is nothing to diagnose. no need to run a play when 1 pick gets a KD post up on Kemba or Fourier or gets Thompson guarding harden 30 feet from the hoop.

We dont need to run the 'anexation of texas - picket fence' hoosier ball where we have 4 passes before a shot when we can get the best scorer of the past 30 years the ball with a midget on him with 18 seconds left on the clock.

And just like a pass-heavy, quick-strike offense in the NFL, you're not making the opposing defense work or think. In the closing sequences of games, your superior offense will look very ordinary against a defense of fresh legs who know exactly how you will attack them. This is how teams have taken games from us all season. Not many games, but enough to form a pattern that we would do well to correct.

Yes, we can still win some games by having Nash roll out the basketball, prop up his feet and let his stars call their own number time and time again. But it won't maximize our excellence, and there's no reason we should be lowering our ceiling or minimizing our margin for error with lazy strategy.
