but he also said he spoke with a jazz rotation player.

That is a flat out lie. I know this because players don't talk like this,
""Donovan is gonna try to score, to get on Sportscenter. With him out, Rudy can really cook and be the D-RTG Swing champ we all know he is"
It might be satire, can't tell for sure
Psychotic. It didn’t make sense. I don’t know how you make it make sense

A rotational player said this? Who? Royce? He's like Mitchell's best friend. Favors? Highly doubt it. Niang or Oni? They are about the only possibilities...but highly doubt it.

Also can't fathom any of the other starters or Clarkson or Ingles saying it either.

Let’s see. I’ve been following the Jazz for 35 years and I’ve never heard of this guy. He must be the ultimate insider with all the scoops. Sam Sheehan needs to GTFO with this shiz.

Yeah, no idea who that is, but looks pretty made up. Most of the Jazz's rotation guys are old pros, can't imagine them saying anything like that.

And this is coming from a 'Team Rudy' guy in terms of who the Jazz's most impactful guy is.
I bought a boat.

If he did it was probably Joe Ingles messing with him, but he probably didn't, because as far as I can tell he's not an actual NBA journalist. He has a medium page and wrote for whatever 'celtics hub' is - you know, this professional looking page: https://www.celticshub.com/author/ssheehan/ and was a student columnist for the Brown Daily Herald: https://www.browndailyherald.com/author/samsheehan/

I mean, I wrote as a sports journalist for my college paper, so I guess I have the same amount of credibility as whoever this self-proclaimed 'near Pulitzer winner' schmuck is (well really, he's clearly a troll ... and if you were going to pick fanbases to troll Utah and Toronto's make the most sense).

Rudy Gobert saying after G1 that he couldnt figure out what the refs were going to call. That he couldnt get his head in the game. It was nice to hear Shaq saying that he should focus in his game, not complaining about the refs.

Spida gonna come back next game? Is that a sure thing?

If so... I hope he comes back all right. We might have a chance to go far this season... with a ton of luck it's even possible to dream about the ring!!! Go JAZZ!

Yeah I'm sure that language came from a player's mouth lol. This guy is obviously trolling hard

Seriously? Bogey and Conley disasters? Jazz much?

As #1 options in a playoff series? Yes they are less than ideal I'm not sure what the argument is

The Donovan Mitchell situation sounds like Donovan and his personal trainers though he was ready to play, while team doctors didn't feel comfortable. So Donovan wanted to play and expected to play, but the team somehow thought it was better to hold him out.

They got in a room together, hashed it out, and decided Donovan will play going forward.

So in Game 1, the Jazz bungled the Donovan Mitchell situation, had both Rudy and Mike in foul trouble--resulting in Rudy fouling out for the first time all season, and the team as a whole had their worst shooting game all year. I doubt that situation repeats itself.

Both players, any given night, can lead the team in scoring. Its OK to disagree though - I'm good. The Jazz have at least 6 guys in that category. The Jazz are not a "classic" super-star driven team as many point to as a reason they can't advance and take the chip. That may be true, but they have 3 All-stars and the regular season was built on wins by committee.

While there was a legit concern about the Gobert/Mitchell relationship during the covid meltdown, all signals from the team (not posing "insiders") is that this team has a high team camarderie quotient. Rudy and DM worked it out just like you noted above with DM's personal trainers and the team. That is life folks - people can disagree and then work it out. Anyone married here lol?

Why is Gobert complaining about the officiating?

He committed more than his 6 fouls & should have fouled out earlier than he did,

For fans talking about how close this game was when Memphis were up 15 late 4th

- An over the back foul committed on Jonas by Rudy let go.
- A goaltend not called.
- a Memphis & 1 ruled on the floor ended as a possession that came up empty.

Those rulings took away 5 pts from Memphis & gave the Jazz 3 possessions. I'm shocked, lol, they manages to close the 15pt lead getting an 11pt swing based on official ruling,.

I gotta give credit to Memphis. I prematurely thought this series was a wash in favor of the Jazz.

Kudos
