AD deserves a lot more praise than he’s getting. He got crapped on hard after game one. He was the best player on the floor in game two.

The East has 3 of the 4 best teams in the league again IMO just like in 2019.

Rockets were a top 3 team in 2019.

Hard to judge them, but I'd put them in the conversation too.

Luka's skillset is unreal, this guy has a very bright future. He makes the best defenders in the world look clueless. Such a fan guy to watch!

Luka vs Kawhi matchups are very entertaining, so I hope that the series won't end in 4 games :D

Kawhi had a real good bounce back game because the first game he was not impressive at all.

I think partially because it's the Luka show and the Clippers are getting upset, we might overlook that Leonard is averaging 1 turnover at the moment.

Yeah, Leonard played very well in this game. The problem is that this Clippers team is very one dimensional and they are fairly weak defensively. I hope to catch game 3, it's a must-win for them.

Luka is absolutely ridiculous, offense is actually too easy for him

I would love to see a Mavs Lakers series, surely they could figure out a way to slow him down

AD continues to be so hot and cold. When he's on, he looks like the best player in the world. When he's off, he's nothing close. Which version we get is the difference between them being the rightful title favorites and them losing in the first round. Crazy.

Yup, very clearly a guy playing without fear of losing as opposed to the Clips.

The thing I'll say is that we've seen Kawhi & PG play like this on their previous teams. This awareness of negative narrative becoming your legacy is something of a mid-career thing and if the Mavs never breakthrough and win a title Luka may well be in that boat someday.

But of course, the more playoff success he has now, the more his reputation will be secure later on, particularly if he stays on the Mavs and has a fanbase relentlessly loyal to him.

I swear to God, this **** only happens to the Clippers:

That's the Mavs' actual shot chart for the series so far, not a photoshop. At this point, I can't imagine what it's going to take for this franchise to stop making a spectacle of itself in the playoffs. :banghead:

Find the positives mate--look how well they are doing in preventing the easy corner 3's. :D

If they come back from this, we'll know they are for real. Mavs can't stay this hot - the rest of the series will be about the mental and who the Clippers are as a team as much as any on-the-court adjustments

Mavs have around 131 O-Rating and their team is averaging 66.7 TS%. Pretty absurd numbers. These should come down if Clips make proper adjustments. Tim Hardaway's numbers look out of the world as well - 80 TS%. I would be surprised if these don't come down. Clips can still make it a series.

bucks and clippers had similarly mediocre/a bit above average defenses this year yet they couldnt look more different in the playoffs

bucks managed to slow down a heat team going a stromg 20/50 from 3 to win a game where they shot like **** by stopping the heat stars

clippers are being shredded like a bottom team defense, is not even like the mavs role players are lighting them up but at least they slowed luka

as suspected, Bucks defense didnt randomly go from incredible to mediocre after signing jrue for bledsoe, they may actually be better defensively (or at least more resilient to play offs offense) than they were in 2020 on top of a seemingly more resilient offense that was actually better than in 2020 through the season

we always talk about which teams or players offense can survive the playoffs but it seems like great reg season defenses are just so susceptible to being exposed in playoffs

for the clippers i dont know what is the issue, kawhi, george, zubac, beverley, ibaka are all suposeddly above average to great defensive players. i am not even sure why they are sucking so hard other than lack of effort and conformism on defense (switching zubac on luka is plain laziness and stupidity)
