Unreal that a basketball play warrants a T. This is embarrassing.

Nice flop by Gobert anyone surprised they gave him the foul.

They weren't going to let Memphis take this game. It was obvious from the onset.
The call led to what? another run for Utah. that's how you control momentum.

With all the soft calls, that is a flagrant foul. Come on.

What is the red spot in morants hair? At first I thought it was a scab. Now I am thinking yarn?

The only thing this game has shown is that Ja Morant is simply unguardable. His game is on another level from what he displayed in the regular season. This is what it looks like to turn a corner.
In other news, I am totally down to trade JJJ.

Yep I'm starting to get on board with ESVL a bit after this.
Hopefully after a full offseason of being healthy and being able to work on his game, JJJ will find a good rhythm next season and be the guy we need him to be. But I see zero chance that happens this playoff run.

Re: Utah vs Memphis -- Game Two: 2 Fast 2 Furious
He is a bit lethargic, which is what I attribute to coming in midseason and the time off from injury. My issue is with the mental aspect of the game - and I think his defensive potential is way oversold. Our interior D was horrendous tonight. Part of that is Jonas (a lot more Jonas but even still) and part JJJ.
Yes, he is an athletic, long 6'11 player who can stretch the floor. But, he simply does not make many winning plays. He doesn't make anyone better, and I don't trust him as a rim protector. So, his competitive advantage imo is relegated to being able to shoot over people. However, he still needs a ton of space because he has an awkward push shot. So, even this is not a given. I say we trade him while the rest of the execs are still enamored by his "potential".

I just got knocked off the site, lol
At least they covered the 10pt spread.
You absolutely can't take anything away from this game other than this young team has fight.

I wonder if this great showing from Morant would help him garner some more official "respect" lol.

I think that nonsense began to happen at the end of the game. There was one pretty egregious foul that was clearly not a foul. We'll take anything we can get at this point.

I love basketball but it's games like this that make me question why I bother watching . It might be time for me to find a new sport to follow.
I have a long day tomorrow, so Have a good night.

Re: Utah vs Memphis -- Game Two: 2 Fast 2 Furious
Perkins is going to get fined like Nate for speaking truth. Man posted a link on the GB of Perkins saying Grizz young squad got cheated. Fact.
Jazz fan chimes in saying Memphis got 7 more FT's lol... This dumb **** can't even understand that Jazz got 31 FT's while taking 40 3's. That half the Jazz shots came from behind the arc, while Memphis took 60 shots inside the arc as the more aggressive team in the paint. The stupid is real ... & that's why the NBA can get way with it.
The amount of FT's is not a tell, a ref can subjectively call a foul on almost every play of the game. For example, turn a blind eye to a elbow to the face that's committed right in front of you, which should have been a 2 shot tech & the ball back but then call a flop for the same player & a tech on what should have been an easy 2 when Memphis pulled to within 3, lol. Foul out the Grizz main defender Brooks early in the game which helps DM/Jazz on the perimeter to get going from 3. Cheaply foul out Memphis big men with Jaren's 3rd coming on a made bucket/flop while Gobert is getting away with throwing elbows to the face in front of the ref etc...
Now tell me the team that took half their shots behind the line apposed to the team that took 60 attempts inside the arc should have had more FT's, LMAO, dumb ****.
I don't mind losing, it spurs growth but I don't like being cheated, which Memphis young players were last night. They might not have won with the Jazz shooting so well but they were cheated out of a fair chance too.
The 10pt spread was covered, good job. When last has an official been fined or fired for calling a **** game ?.
I can tell you a great coach was fined for telling the truth. Watch your bank Perk, we see it.

Re: Utah vs Memphis -- Game Two: 2 Fast 2 Furious
I am celebrating the win. The way our guys (Ja, DB, Kyle) fought back against a mad and angry #1 team in the league is remarkable. That was the win to me.
PS
My takeaway in short is:
1. Ja has little, if anything, to do with humans.
2. Kyle is Mr. Excellence.
3. DB stands for “Dillon the Beast”.
Those 3 have reached another level with last 4 games.
Let me be the captain obvious: Game 3 will unlikely be an easy walk for Utah, to say the least.
And that’s what I love about the Grizzlies and wish nothing more.
