Uncle Jeff out for at least 10 days. This team just can't stay healthy :(

Probably means more mins for Claxton and maybe Alize???

Sucks to hear about Jeff. He's a key piece. Hopefully he's good to go after 10 days. Don't feel good about this kind of injury though.

Should be interesting to see how this changes the rotation. Claxton will take all of his center minutes (which he kind of should have been doing already) but there's about 10-14 minutes open at the 4. The question is do we go to an 8 man rotation or add Tyler Johnson (Nash likes playing him next to Harden).

Absolutely brutal injury at the wrong time. We need Jeff.

I think we may have to go:

Harden/Irving/Harris/Durant/Griffin
Johnson/Shamet/Brown/Claxton

that's a huge blow to our size. we may need to plug in DJ or Alize.

I love me some Alize but I think Nash dropped the ball by not giving him a legit chance in the rotation for a few games. Don't even think it wwould be fair to throw him out in the playoffs. I think we'll have to live with our vets.

Another thing - this is on DJ too. DJ should've played in the last game instead of Perry. I don't care if it's super garbage time. He should be using those minutes to stay sharp. if we end up needing him, he'll be coming off of a bunch of DNPs

The Green injury hurts for a potential Bucks second round matchup if he's not at 100%... Really need bodies to throw at Giannis to at least provide some resistance even if they aren't able to stop him on a consistent basis.

If we take care of business here and sweep them then we will have a bye week for Uncle Jeff to rest up. Should be ready by the 2nd round. Def going to need him playing the Bucks

Losing Jeff Green is a huge blow. Nets fans know it, even if the casual NBA fans don't.

Plantar Facsitis was my biggest concern because it tends to linger. I don't expect him back anytime soon.

Hopefully Claxton can step up his game now that Nash said he will be taking the bulk of Uncle Jeff's minutes.

Unfortunately Claxton can't replace Green as a shooter, so we need Bruce Brown to step up his game too.

I think it may be a blessing in disguise... i mean a good coach would play green exclusively at the 4, give claxton 50% of the center minutes... but Nash wants to play blake+green the majority at center.

This forces nash to use claxton more. he is our best defender. and it forces him to go more minutes without having 5-out.

I have to agree with you, friend.

I love Uncle Jeffy but deep stats say he's a sieve on both ends. He certainly adds a potent threat, and has initiated some rallies this season when we've looked hopeless. With the Big 3 healthy, his big shot ability is less needed, and his weaknesses are more glaring.

My *hope* is that this leads to Alizé and Nic getting more minutes, but I would not say it "forces" Nash to do it. Just when we think he is cornered into doing something traditional and efficient like ***play players who can guard***, he'll zag when we zig and moonlight TLC at the 5 or something!

are they going to call Smart a liar too? maybe they will want someone to injure him as well?

I'm glad Smart spoke out. The audacity of some Boston fans to call Kyrie a liar and want him harmed because he doesn't want to be called a racial slur is beyond the pale. They've got some sick puppies over there that frankly need to be called out by their own.

My thing was always that it came down to blake hitting threes. if he did, he was taking the stretch 5 center minutes and jeffs role would reduced.... that happend, but instead he took all of DJs minutes and some of claxtons with green keeping stretch 5 minutes

I just don't want to see Harden playing over 30 min.

I don't care what Bucks doing, its a massage and we got it. We are Brooklyn Nets and we got our own path and ways.

We will see them in a few. Lets just get our game going. One's we ready... bring them on. Bust their ass like they never seen before.

Man, has anyone ever Ethered a fanbase the way Kyrie has the celtics?

-Dumped them
-formed a better team elsewhere
-all his celtics teammates worship him
-it has proven over time he wasnt the big issue there
-he triggers them with saying their fans are racist
-then all the celtics come out and support that its true

Boston has basically seen their squad become a lotto team, been outed as racists, no FA will come there, their stars may look to leave, and they have to watch kyrie sweep them. And now they cant drop n-bombs at him during his return like they planned.

My main concern isnt the center minutes, it's the backup forward spot. We've been running a 2nd unit of Harden/Shamet/Harris/Green/Claxton. Anyone who replaces Green there makes us sacrifice size, shooting, or both.
