One of the reasons I like Star Trek is that it presents a hopeful vision of a society where humans aren't constantly at each others' throats over resources. Unfortunately, I think it's more likely we develop warp drives and food replicators before getting rid of pump and dump schemes. Wherever we venture in the cosmos, human nature tags along with us.

That said, it's still pretty funny to see diet Tony Stark grift people left and right while getting praised as a visionary.

Crypto seems to be moving up again which is nice to see. Wish I could've timed the dip a little better and bought more at the right time but such is life.

On the other hand, GME is ripping the last two days due to FTD for t+21 and t+35 coinciding this week. I honestly jumped in just as a joke but can see this going well over $1,000 a share.

I don't doubt the theory. But what's stopping brokers from restricting all these tickers again?

Just seems too good to be true for retail. While causing a huge downfall for shorts.

EDIT: I dunno, I just think brokers/exchanges will do something behind the scenes to bring the price down again.

I have no exit strategy at all with my crypto. I'm in XRP, MATIC, ANKR and CHAIN. At what point do I sell? If one takes off do I hold on hoping it's a rocket and if so for how long? I don't need the money but at some point I'll want to cash out. I'll probably figure out numbers where I'll sell enough to have a decent profit with enough left in the coins to make it worthwhile to let it ride. With stocks I do analysis and have a pretty clear number where I'll sell. Either when it's up or down.

I bought AMC because I believe movies are going to come back in a big way. I don't know what qualifies it as a meme stock, but I think when I got in at like 5 bucks it was a no-brainer stock.

Also, should I buy the Timberwolves?

I bought in somewhere around $19 right before it crashed again back down to $5. Thought I might never see that money again. Decided to take advantage of the day and pull some profit out and let the rest ride so that if it does crash again, I'm not going to pay the price anymore.

Decided to use today as a time to pull profit out of a lot of my stocks and redistribute it into some hopefully safer ETFs to diversify a bit. I had somehow ended up with like 98% of my investments being in individual stocks and it's been freaking me out lately.

Buy the Timberwolves and trade Jaylen Nowell to the Bucks

The highest AMC has been since 2014 was around $35. Unless there's some weird meme thing going on here I doubt it can climb much higher.
At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

Oh it's absolutely being driven by the meme team again at least in part.

I almost went to a movie after the Bucks game. Mostly because it was $5 and I would have been the only one in the theater. With most big titles slated for HBO/Amazon/Netflix/Disney until the fall I have no understanding on how people could be bragging up holding stock at 3x its highest market cap ever when they haven't had a nickel of revenue in 15 months.

Are you guys not the least bit freaked out by the abject ignoring of fundamentals? That Dogecoin, literally a joke, had a market cap of 28b- more than Panasonic, Kroger, ViacomCBS, etc?

Fundamentals it seems are completely out the window on some stuff.

A guy I know was telling me I should get into DogeCoin at 7cents. I thought he was crazy. Why would I buy something they make an infinite amount of, making more every day. It seemed like some Ponzi scheme that I didn't want to time. Turns out I would have turned a 9 times profit if I got out at the right time.

I'm admittedly still a novice investor but I bought 10 shares a few months back hoping for either another run like this from the WSB crowd or a genuine recovery for the company over the long term. So how does one know when this thing has run its course and is a good time to sell?

Obviously, no one knows.

It’s at all time high levels now, so if you were happy with a recovery play, sell now. It’s recovered all the way and then some. If you are only happy as a squeeze play, sell 2 shares to recover your buy in and hold the other 8 for a potential run up

As midranger said, might be a good call to just sell a couple shares now to regain the initial investment and then let it ride with house money basically.

You can also set trade alerts through Marketwatch.com (and I'm sure other sites as well) to basically shoot you an email if the price drops below _____ or goes above ______. I set an alert to email me if it starts to tank all of a sudden before it gets back to my initial buy-in.

Yep....used my stimulus/tax refund and bought thousands worth when it was $5.00. Sold enough that I basically made my money back and letting the rest ride to see if this is another gamestop thing.

Worst case scenario I break even.....best case.....cha ching.
