MJ was only 23 when he dropped 63 on the Celtics. Jason is only 23. Larry Bird was a rookie at age 23 and went to his first ECF. Tatum has been to two already.

Durant is the best scorer I’ve ever seen. At 7 ft tall he is unbelievable and his ability to make a high percentage of shots is insane. However, I think Tatum has a superior arsenal of moves. He’s not as tall, his handle isn’t as solid, and he may not shoot quite as well. However, his footwork is on another level and his big shoulders suggest a physical toughness in his near future that could bring another dimension to his game that Durant never quite has had. Can he reach Durant’s level? I don’t know....but I wouldn’t write it off just yet.

You do whatever you need to do to keep him here and happy. If that’s getting Beal using multiple picks and players than so be it. I want him here for 15 years and him to go into the HOF as a Celtic

Lol when was this made? Tatum was already waaaaay better than Kuzma in his rookie year, it's not even like there's some point where Kuzma temporarily was ahead of him while Tatum was still figuring things out because he was younger and less experienced.

We had CELTICS FANS on here saying that Kuzma had as much value as Tatum back during the AD rumors.

What seriously? Tatum was pretty obviously on a path to become a future all star basically from the beginning. He definitely ended up becoming better than what I expected, but this wasn't a case of hidden potential that nobody knew about. He was already the best performing player from that draft class in his rookie year, or maybe second best after Mitchell.

In the 4 playoff games plus the play-in, Tatum is averaging 34.6/5.6/4.4 on a 60% TS, plus a steal and 2 blocks a game, which 31to6 will love.

Not bad.

Got to get a proper point guard to help him out
and a reliable center.

I do think that
Smart
Fournier
Brown
Tatum

is a potentially great start to a lineup if everyone is healthy and playing as they should.

Would love to See Danny Fired, Zarren promoted and a former player hired as an assistant GM to work with the team. (garnett maybe?)

Also love to see a point guard great work with Smart this offseason on being a point guard.

After struggling in ISO during the regular season, especially early on, dude is straight toasting defenders in isolation in the playoffs. Doesn’t even count the 50 point play in game either.

He’s at 1.31 PPP in isolation, for comparison sake, Harden is at 1.33, and Durant is at 1.09. This is without the luxury of playing with anyone else that the defense really has to respect.

Crazy.
