Hot take, I think he’s a horrible coach and costed the Thunder big 3 program with his horrible coaching.

He's unimpressive... But that roster also stinks.

This wiz roster stinks.

But he wasted that talented roster with the Thunders!

I hope the Nets can beat the Bucks.
But Nets is a team that Giannis can be a factor on offense down the stretch, with just how weak they are defensively, so im not counting on it.

Why?

We match so much better against the Bucks than the Nets....

Our biggest problem is our own halfcourt offense and defending PnR

We can hide that with the Nets weak defense, while Bucks’ roster is built to slow down Embiid. I’d expect Nets to wanting to make it a series of big 3 scoring. Biid-Ben-Tobi over Harden-Kyrie-KD, which may end up badly for the Nets like how this wiz series is unfolding where the defense is so bad that even Ben is scoring easily.

While Bucks has Giant C who can raise his hand and not go near him and still challenge Embiid’s jumper while Giannis is in the paint who can provide help defense.

If Embiid is going to have Giannis, this will also drain his energy on offense or on the series. While I think Ben can defend Giannis, i haven’t seen large sample size of that. And if Embiid defends Brolo, he’ll have to gravitate outside the paint on defense.

Then Bucks have Jrue. He’s not that good on 1v1. But he can be very good in running PNR against us.

I just dont know if things will change with Divicenzo out.

The FO knows this and thats why they added Tolliver and Gary Clark (very experienced in defending Giannis with his experience in the playoffs last season), both guys haven’t played a minute in the wiz series and I’d expect one or both to play a role in a potential series with the Bucks.

Embiid can take Lopez off the dribble any day. What he can’t do is take 5 seconds to decide to take Lopez off the dribble. This allows Giannis to have time to help out. But Embiid if makes the 1-2 second decision. It’s over Lopez too slow. Embiid just can’t settle for jump shots like the first 5 minutes of
The bucks game he paid. He was like 1-7 or something before doc yanked him early.

Bucks know this. They just hope Embiid settles. No way Lopez can defend Embiid without help defense. This is why it’s so important for Simmons to stay weak side dunker spot away from Embiid. Bucks rotation is severely stressed if Giannis slides over and another help defender has to cover Simmons in dunker spot. This will leave curry Harris or green wide open all day.

I’ve seen how bucks play. Their 3 point defense is very lacking this year. Deciding to defend the paint.

Maxey should be mixed with Embiid as well. Because he’s the only guy who can take the defender off the dribble in the half court. Look at bucks losses this season. Examine why they lose.

Another stupid thing by scott brooks.

Why do you run a 3-4 guard line-up? when your center is glued to Embiid at the midrange to 3pt range.

This is why you see a lot of easy baskets around the rim on halfcourt then the wiz would look at each other like “hey it’s your fault you’re supposed to rotate”.

Just no answers from the wiz. Roster wise. Then it’s just worse with Brooks

Looks like we are going to be seeing Tre Young in round 2. I suppose the strategy will be to let him get his while shutting everyone else down a la Beal with the Wizards?

Yeah people are killing him. Honestly I don’t get it though. Sure he could try other things but big picture I don’t see anything crazy about their result. If anything they overachieved with all the covid stuff they went through. There’s other rosters like the Pacers, Bulls, Raptors etc. that arguably have more talent and are at home already. He’s not a great coach or anything and he’s probably getting let go but really he’s whatever.

The smaller lineups aren’t helping with defense but he switched to a bigger lineup last night and it didn’t do anything. Scott Brooks isn’t the reason that Russell Westbrook just takes possessions off on defense sometimes.

As opposed to what, doubling him? Yeah I think they have too many other options for that. It’ll be a little different though because Young plays on ball a lot more than Beal.

Sixers certainly have better options to throw at him than Reggie Bullock.

Assuming they go out here, the Wiz have done themselves no favours with this late season run as the biggest takeaway is the loss of a really nice pick

IMO, they should attempt to get a king’s ransom for Beal because they are a treadmill team without an asset reload irrespective of who coaches them

Scotty Brooks is pretty bad.

Looking at the amount of games started by guys like Kendrick Perkins, Andre Roberson, and Thabo Seflosha during the Scott Brooks era in OKC is cringeworthy.

Bucks under Bud have always chosen to defend the paint and get sent home by 3pt shooting teams the past 2 years.

For the Sixers sake, hopefully those guys are hitting them when they face off.

Any day that LeBastard loses, is a good day.

Atlanta is the better team, its obvious, although it would be great to meet the Knicks. I expect the Hawks to maybe win a game or two, unlike the Knicks who would probably be a sweep from the get go.

Nah

They’re playing against a team down 3 starters and who’s been dysfunctional all season anyway

They’re going to need to shoot out of their skins to beat the Bucks as they can’t defend a chair

This is getting interesting to me, it is happening alot and it shouldn't, but I used to bounce in a club for many years.

The list of stuff that people called me, threw at me, along with punching me for no reason...is a list as long as my leg.

Should it happen? Course not, but I didn't have the platform that these guys have to cry about it though.

We had bouncers who acted like an ass, and guess what, they would always get targeted. I threated people well, and they targeted me a whole lot less than others. Kyrie, Russ, and such....if you act like an ass (they both do), then you will be targeted.

Pretty simple to me.

The Bucks worry me a lot more than the Nets. Hopefully they do a lot of damage to each other in that series.
