When Steve Blake 2.0 is all Celtics fan rave about, then something must be wrong. The team just sucks outside of Tatum/Brown.
Whose playing well for the Raptors so far?
Fair enough. I think Tatum/Brown very easily is better then anything on the Raptors roster. It does not change my opinion that the roster is terrible in general.

Not that this board couldn’t tell.
No it’s pitiful! I guarantee you that the nets won’t be doing this in the next round. D the **** up!!!
Guess what? A team with 2 of the 5 best offensive players ever, and Kyrie Irving as their 3rd option are going to light up anybody.
Their issue going forward will be defense.

I wouldn’t be shocked if they **** around and win the next one in Brooklyn. But if not, bad season, but always fun talking. See y’all in the off-season threads.

I hope the Tacko experiment ends after this season. Great guy and he will be great in Europe but he’s not an NBA player.

Not because they are all time great...the way the League is reffed, you aren't allowed to play any defense against these guys.
Same with LeBron.
Why don't other players do it, then? Why doesn't Semi Ojeleye do it for instance?
Perception.
Think about this:
This League went from James Worthy holding a handful of Larry's jersey, and the refs calling nothing...to no one can even body up and play basic defense against the likes of Harden,Durant,Lebron etc.
But at the same time, the aforementioned can hack the crap out of anyone they want and never come close to fouling out.
Don't know if people realize you can barely contain a great scorer with your hands all over them. giving them this obscene advantage where defenders are terrified to even touch their airspace is so rediculously lopsided

I don’t blame them.
I love JT, but he’s stat padding lol
No different than the Nets stars out there, as long as you’re in the game, play lol.
But yeah of course.
I don't think Tatum is stat padding but there is a bit of a difference in the sense that the Nets are still trying to build chemistry / familiarity after their Big 3 barely played together this year...
This is a learning experience for him, but should help him to grow going forward.

You’re clueless as well when it comes to this crap. This is not the first time this team has been lousy defensively especially in second half of games.

Does anyone know why Stevens decided to not play Nesmith all game until the game was out of hand? I don't get his decisions most of the time.

Now we gotta hope that 16+Kemba gets us Horford. And that we can flip TT for a guard. And that Tatum takes the leap to MVP caiber and Jaylen takes the leap to all-NBA. And RW becomes a Bam facsimile.

Not sure what they can do without Kemba and Rob. Missing 3 starters is not realistically something you overcome in the postseason against any team.

To be fair, we didn't really play feisty defense in the 2nd and 3rd quarters. We only picked it up in the 4th, with the insertion of Nesmith and Parker.
To be fair, you literally cannot defend KD. And Kyrie is near impossible when he’s in the zone. And James Harden is one of the best offensive players ever.
And were missing Jaylen, RWIII and have a 36M anchor at PG.
Wtf did you expect
Lol did I say we would've won? I'm just saying our defensive intensity vanished in the 2nd and 3rd, score would've been closer if they played with the same intensity and confidence they showed in this 4th. I mean, we won last game when KD and Harden scored 80 combined, mostly because the guys played with such ferocity (that and Tatum's 50).

I'm glad the team was able to properly disappoint you again, man. You seem to love that ****.

Harden literally falls on every shot someone is close to him! It;s such a fraud move but the refs always fall for it! Nobody is stopping that nevermind when you have KD on the other side to bail you out with a quick pass!

It’s easy when they’re getting a ton of **** space. Idk how this series would have went if jaylon brown had played but this team needs another big time scorer.

Yea it’s a shame we didn’t draft Malachi Flynn instead and not the guy who milked the raps in like every game this season.

Ok so why don't more players play like James Harden and Kevin Durant if it's so easy or whatever? The league refs just draw names out of a hat and then decide to call the game in their favor for the duration of their career?
Like Semi Ojeleye is just out there thinking, "well I could make half a billion dollars if I just played like James Harden, but I don't enjoy the aesthetic of it, so I'll just make 1.5 million a season instead and be out of the league at 27."
