The Celtics fan who threw the bottle

I'm going to be blunt about this, there's a racial component to this and the NBA needs to address it.

They had people in the stands of the Utah/Memphis game calling Dillion Brooks a "half breed". What would possess you to do that unless you are just racist af?

You have racists going to the games, getting drunk as ****, and thinking that they can abuse the players. This needs to be nipped in the bud.

Kyrie was THE MAN on Sunday night, and I have to admit that while his stomping on the Celtics logo at Center Court normally would have set me off for giving the Celtics something to rally around, I don't even give a F, especially when some punk ass B threw a bottle at him after the game, and I have to be honest, at least this time Kyrie did something WE ALL WANTED TO DO and it did make me LMAO. Every time I see it I LOL. In fact I'm still laughing right now, just thinking about it.

Lastly, I don't have the same bad feeling I had after Game 2 because this time we're coming home to Brooklyn where a full arena is gonna have Kyrie's back. The C's can be as motivated as they want. They're getting SMOKED in Game 5. The Nets are taking this team to the woodshed, period.

And to no one's shock, once again we find another instance of a Celtic fan calling for violence against Kyrie. Some of them, but not all of them, like that bottle throwing idiot from last night are just utterly deranged and here's a good example.

It's unfortunate for these pig headed clowns that Kyrie is beloved by his former Celtic teammates, and the most that will happen after we put them out of their misery tomorrow is that they will exchange hugs and pleasantries.

Violence? Maybe a semi hard foul, not killing the guy. He needs to be taught a lesson. Your actions have consequences. Right? Everybody's actions have consequences.

You're a snowflake, like 2 of the guys on your team. Go back to your forum, I don't care what you think about me, at all.

That’s fair we likely lose in 5 without two of our best players. But I am having a hard time seeing you guys beat Philly with your front court.

In terms of Kyrie, it’s really pathetic that he is pulling the race card here. He does a disservice to those that actually face racism on a daily basis. That kid shouldn’t have thrown a water bottle but it’s all about how Kyrie left town and not the color of his skin.

If Kyrie had just owned up to his blatant tanking and how he lied to the fan base it probably would have diffused the situation. Instead Kyrie should expect to get booed like this every time he comes to Boston.

The thing is, Celtics fans hate Kyrie...but the Celtics players love him. Guarantee that none of them actually want to deliver a hard foul or anything like that, because they're genuinely friends with the guy. They probably don't see a reason to "retaliate" or "deliver a message" at all.

The fans make this out to be something it isn't. Kyrie is chill with the Celtics players and vice versa.

Yeah, calling for one of the bums on your bench to try and hurt Kyrie is calling for violence. You make other Celtic fans look bad with your garbage.

Teach him a lesson? For what? Hurting your feelings because he didn't want ppl like you calling him racial slurs or throwing objects at him? Imagine being angry at someone telling you to behave like a civilized adult...and you're calling other ppl snowflakes?

Being asked to do the bare minimum is apparently triggering you. You know your team can't stop him on the court so you want someone to take it to violence. You're clearly unhinged.

Shut the **** up. Asking fans, who have a history of racist behavior, not to yell racial slurs or throwing objects isn't pulling the race card. Stop with this garbage. Kyrie asked Boston fans to do the bare minimum and for the most part, they did outside of that idiot who threw that bottle.

You're allowed to have hurt feelings over what he did that left your fanbase sounding like a guy who got left at the altar by his fiancée. I get it. You're allowed to boo. But this race card nonsense is complete BS. You know exactly why he said what he said and some Boston fans don't want to own up to it even after Kyrie was proven right last night.

Imagine seeing strangers calling for you to commit violence against your own friend because said friend left to do what made him happy. This is literally what Celtic fans are calling for.

Also, we smashed them in this game, dropped 141 points with ease, and clearly got lackadaisical after building up a huge lead in the 4th and then Boston tried their best to make it not look as bad, so we gave up 126 points...and people want to use that as proof that we're going to get owned by Milwaukee next round?

I think Milwaukee will hurt us on the offensive glass. But I don't think they're going to dominate us offensively overall the way people think. I think DJ is officially out of the rotation, and Giannis actually had a harder time against a combo of Griffin, Claxton, and Green, with help, once we actually went with it late in game 2 of that double header we had against them.

We just need everyone to hit the glass and have a gang rebounding mentality.

Offensively, they haven't played us with all of the big 3 playing before. Can't really hide anyone. I think we're gonna make Lopez near unplayable honestly. He's gonna get switched onto KD or Harden or Kyrie relentlessly. Or get hunted in the PnR by Harden relentlessly.

No Kyrie took a situation that wasn’t about racism and put that race card on it. In what way was he proven right? Did someone make racist commentary against him?

I was at the game all we did was boo him and their were two chants “Kyrie sucks and “ **** you Kyrie “. Is throwing a water bottle a racist act? Cmon now.

Kyrie said he didn't want things to devolve into racist or belligerent behavior. To Boston fan's credit, we have heard no instances of the former. However, unfortunately we saw the latter when that drunk idiot wanted to throw a full bottle of water at him.

Asking your fanbase to behave like adults with functioning brains isn't pulling the race card, it's highlighting an issue that even players on your team has said is real.

It isnt "playing the race card" to point out a proven racist fanbase is racist. thats just calling a spade a spade.

and Kyrie was proven right because he said he wanted it to be about basketball and not get belligerent or racist. I'd say "F**K you chants and throwing a bottle at him would fall under 'belligerent'
