Those three will wakeup in Atlanta.
We need Collins to counter it.

D21,

I know you’re a big fan of plus/minus.

I’ve always been a big skeptical of adhering too much on a game to game basis. Any takeaways from this data?

Who are the Knicks gonna test him with testing him? I see Knicks fans saying Bullock shud go at Trae, he's not that dude, he's a spot up 3 point shooter.
Besides, no one seems to want to give him any credit for his improved defense (minimal as it may be) and the more so the overall Hawks defense.

Knicks have to be worried now. I think the Hawks have figured them out. They were bracketing Randle with JC and Cap all night and the 22-5 or whatever run to close out the 2nd started when we put Deandre on Rose. Hunter proved to be the stopper against Rose and really made him work hard for everything. As long as the shooters hit their shots we should be able to close this one out in 5 or 6 now.

I also like that Nate changed it up and had at least one of Bogi and Trae in the game at all times. He’s out coaching Thibs, but really it’s more about our players are just better. Thibs doesn’t have a lot of options to strategize around.

He will receive his max contract this off-season.
Many people on the General Board felt like Rsndle should be top three for MVP.

He is miscast as a #1 option. I’m not against him getting a massive payday, but the fans will turn on him quickly if he flames out while making $30+ million per year.

I wouldn’t mind adding him here at PF if we could get him on a contract similar to Gallinari’s $20 million per year salary.

Trae is so good at passing that he makes difficult passes look so easy on TV. The pass he made to Bogdanovic at 97-85 with his off arm while on the run is one of many reasons why he is such a nightmare to guard on offense.

Love that the Hawks are wearing the MLK jerseys tomorrow.

They look awesome and the Hawks have played amazing in them.

Sorry, missed your post
Not a "big" fan, but I always check if to see if it matches what I saw. But in close games, if there is some garbage time, it doesn't help at least on bench players.

From these numbers, it just confirms that Clint is so much needed, exactly to be able to play when it counts is needed, and why I was saying a key of this series is avoiding foul trouble on him (and on John if possible). This 4th game was an example of that, it was so good to have both playing in second without foul pressure.
Regarding Bogi and Trae, maybe it confirms they are both needed on the floor, and that there should be at least one on the floor, never benching both at the same time.
I don't know if ATL is dominating more when both are on the floor, but I prefer to see them sharing the P spot and both at +5 than them playing only at the same time, getting +10 and being destroyed by 15pts during the 16 min they both are on the bench.

For New-York, there were two options, let Randle score (but cutting his game from the other), or defend hard on him.
Based on Net rating, I was thinking they should not focus too much on Randle as NYK was at their best once bench guys enter the court. McMillan took the 2nd option. By doing it, Gibdon is a bit more free, but he was already one of the best impact player before the series.

The one thing that surprises me the most is that Rose had the best Net rating of NYK in regular season, and has one of the worst +/- of this series. It's actually great for ATL to let him score, as ATL is dominating when he plays. Locking Randle has totally re-balanced NYK, and Rose does not have the same impact than in regular season.

For the next games, this time, I think that avoiding foul trouble for Clint and John is not a key but THE MAIN key
And if Lou and Bogi are on the floor, it would great if Lou can't take benefit of transtion that he passes the ball to Bogi a bit sooner.
