I dont understand the benefit of lineups with Kyrie, TJ and Shamet. 3 small guards, none of whom are lockdown defenders. What does Nash see in this small lineup?

Not sure why Nash is going away from Bruce Brown. He should be the first man off the bench, especially when Kemba is not playing. Denying Tatum means letting Langford, Smart etc taking all the shots.

Nash prefers playing only one non-shooter at a time, it's why you don't rarely see Brown in at the same time as Claxton. I'm sure Brown will get minutes here next to big 3 with Claxton off the floor.

It's also about not really respecting the Celtics. If Kemba was out there, I think we'd see more Brown. If they had better offensive players out there outside of Tatum, we'd focus a little more on defense. Team probably thinks Cs can't hurt us if we go all offense.

Funny. To end the quarter we finally threw extra defenders on Tatum. Now mix that in during the second half and secure this win.

Tbh, we haven't done a great job on anyone. We held Celtics to 51 pts, which is good by our standards, but Celtics missed a lot of shots they have been making last couple games.

Imo that's the Nets' game plan. The likes of Smart, Langford, Grant Williams shooting 3s with a defender running to contest are not going to beat the Nets. When you start doubling, you risk the Celtics making the right pass and setting up wide open shots.

The Nets avg 125 ppg, so they game plan on limiting the opponents to 110.

He was doing an OK job before the shutdown.
