Bogdanovic should be shooting more than 10 shots, Ingles, one of the best 3pt shooters should be attempting more than 4 total field goals.

Mitchell shoots the team out of rhythm. He is their best player but he thinks he is better than he really is.

Completely agree. They are more efficient than him, and allowing them a few more shots would also make his game more efficient. He is a star of that team, but since he does not get recognized as a real star of the league he is doing to much to prove that he is, which is detrimental to their chances of success.
They're more efficient than him because of the looks he helps generate for them

Put Bogey, Conley and Ingles in Mitchell's role and their efficiency drops too

Mitchell's game is necessary to get those great looks for those guys. So stupid to suggest otherwise

Not neceserally. He is alpha, and he opens the space. I just have a feeling that space would open if he sends extra 5-6 balls to the sides instead of shooting himself. I might be wrong, but have a feeling that both him and for instance Luka should involve sides a bit more.

He had 8 assists and 13 FTAs in Game 4, you really can't ask for much better than that, especially given that the Jazz offense doesn't stockpile assists on one player in particular. Everybody moves the ball around, Mitchell included

He had more passes made and secondary assists this season than guys like Giannis, Paul George, Bradley Beal, AD, Kawhi, and others. He's top 30 in both of those stats in the regular season, and nearly top 20 in the postseason in his 3 games played

Luka is even better in this regard so I don't really understand the logic behind the argument. Both score a lot but they have a lot of gravity and pull help defenders in with them

I think the Grizzlies do deserve the credit they are getting for continuing to fight back...but as a Jazz fan I’m not super content with the way the Jazz are playing.

They haven’t put together a complete effort and have shown some bad habits. Scoring has come easy, but I feel like that’s led to some letdowns on defense. I don’t think the Jazz are playing with great effort, focus, or connectivity and they are in for a rude awakening if they can’t flip the switch soon.

At times it feels like they are going through the motions with Memphis. It’s almost bit them but hasn’t heat but next round they can’t play that way.

Guys like Mitchell and Doncic are really good at putting stress on the opponents' defense, and they should just try to maximize each individual possession, pass or shoot (certainly in a close playoff series, if not every game of the season.)

Yup...I don’t want to take anything from Memphis, but I do feel like the Jazz start to coast when they get a comfortable leave. You start to see a lot of live ball turnovers leading to east transition buckets, they give up offensive rebounds, more iso ball on offense, and just a general lackadaisical approach to the game.

Again....credit to Memphis for taking advantage of the opportunity and fighting back, but I really don’t think this Jazz team is super focused or competing at a high level.

If they want to win the title they will have to beat teams more talented then themselves. If they don’t raise their level of focus and effort they are going to get smoked.

Nice gesture.

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/31549067/utah-jazz-owner-comps-game-5-tickets-ja-morant-family-friends

Jazz owner Ryan Smith has provided complimentary tickets for courtside seats, lodging and a car service for a group of family and friends of Memphis Grizzlies star guard Ja Morant for Wednesday's Game 5 in Utah, Morant's father, Tee, told ESPN.

Smith, who is in his first season as the Jazz's owner, reached out to the Morants to make the offer before the Western Conference first-round series returned to Salt Lake City. Smith publicly apologized to the Morant family on Thursday night after Tee Morant revealed details of the incidents to ESPN.

"Memphis Grizzlies and Morant family... we are embarrassed and sorry," Smith tweeted. "The @utahjazz have zero tolerance for offensive behavior. We are committed to creating a respectful, competitive environment."

Several other members of the Jazz organization, including coach Quin Snyder and All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell, also publicly apologized to the Morant family in the wake of Game 2. Dwyane Wade, the former NBA superstar who became a minority owner of the Jazz in April, emphasized the importance of addressing such inappropriate behavior.

"If we turn our backs on this kind of behavior we're all a part of the problem," Wade tweeted. "This will not be tolerated! Apologies once again to Ja and his family."

As a Jazz fan who lives in Miami, couldn't be prouder to have Wade join our franchise. Miami LOVES him. I'm sure he's going to mentor Mitchell.

This series is not representative of Mitchell as a player, he's a lot better and plays more within the offense. He looks like he did his rookie year, but I would chalk that up to rust and redeveloping that on-court communication.

This is a crude take so take it for what it’s worth

Yes the org and ownership is doing everything right. But IMO the legit nod will be had when another attending white fan puts a beat down on one of these dudes

Well done by the Jazz org.

About this 5th game... I dont know what to expect. If the grizzs want to play a 6th game, i believe the keys are:

-Jazz having problems from the 3point line. (thatd be scoring less than 15 threepointers and under .400)
-Stay out of foultrouble. (Mainly JV and Brooks. I cant count JJJ to stay out of it)
-A little help from our bench. (Melton-Bane-Allen to start dropping threes effectively)

Also, it would be a very good indicator that no one talks about the refs after the game.

Mitchell's minutes and output have been steadily increasing during the series. I'm predicting that trend continues tonight. Mitchell should get his 3ball in rhythm and be looking for that shot more than last game. I'm also looking for Ingles to have his best game of the series, though he's been quiet for the most part.

Jazz already with 4 3's. So far, they looked very determined to not repeat last year.
