If Embiid's injury lingers, even if he can play hurt, IMO Nets vs Bucks is the EC finals.

Either team will beat Philly if Embiid is damaged goods.

The way both teams looking compared to others it is a NBA finals. Two best teams at the moment and it's not even close.

Agreed, especially with Embiid and Anthony Davis both coming up lame.

The winner of Nets/Bucks will most likely be hanging the championship banner.

I wish we had Uncle Jeff for this series, but it's not happening, Plantar is a long-time lingering injury.

Even if Jeff plays hurt, he'll be a shell of his former self. No more jumping out of the gym.

Oh well, we just have to win it without him.

Joe Jesus was giving Miami business while nursing plantar fasciitis. I don't expect him to come back in a next week, it's a week to week thing depending on how Jeff feels.

I was hoping to see some Alize tonight. Well we will find out soon. If KD gets into foul trouble we will be in trouble. KD going to be most important player this series vs Bucks.

Does anyone else think that we should try to limit what Middleton and Holiday do to us offensively moreso than Giannis?

I would rather go big with the starting lineup, replacing Blake with Claxton at the 5 and KD at the 4, then use both of them to double Giannis in the paint or force him to become a jump-shooter. Blake can get his minutes off the bench, but for this series I'd double Giannis with the bigs and force the other guys to beat us.

Yeah. Stopping the Bucks will look a lot different than stopping the Celtics. Letting Middleton and Holiday go off the same way there always seemed to be at least one random Celtic going off in each game would be costly because they are both quality players. Obviously can't let Giannis go off the way he did in the first of our last two meetings, but his perimeter game still isn't there.

Middleton is really good, so I'd be worried that if he and Jrue gets going, it would be even harder to guard Giannis. I rather us focus on limiting all 3 and let their rile players beat us.

That said they are gonna try to do the same to us most likely.

Middleton and Holliday are dangerous, so I'm not discounting them, but IMO neither one of them are as good as ANY OF THE BIG 3 ON THE NETS, but Giannis is, in fact he's my choice for NBA MVP this year, so that IS NOT the Buck I'm allowing to beat us. I would go big with KD and Claxton and double Giannis in the paint. If he can beat us as a Jump-shooter, good for him, but I'm not letting him dominate us in the paint. I'm forcing Middleton and Holliday to beat us, neither of whom is in the same league as the Nets BIG 3.

Great second half and the communication was much better. Loved Claxton tonight he really stepped up in this one. We have to stop Giannis in the paint and with Harden back we have a huge advantage with our second unit. He is really playing great but I think he can step it up defensively and will. I think the bucks series is our real test. Let’s get it done!

Hell of a way to close out the game tonight. Claxton gave us quality minutes, the big 3 were amazing tonight.

Stone still has the hot hand.

Please, NOBODY but Stone creates the Game 1 thread for Nets vs Bucks. In fact Stone, if you see this post you can create the thread TONIGHT or ASAP, because it's already the main topic of discussion. Boston is dead meat.

Not to put a damper on the win, but does anyone have an explanation for our pathetic crowd tonight?

I felt like Game 1 and Game 2 crowds were really good. What changed?

I've never seen a worse Nets playoff crowd in my life. That includes the NJ days which really sucks.

It was honestly really disappointing to see.

Well, that's pretty-much the traditional way of attempting to neutralise Giannis, but I agree-- maybe, just maybe, it'll be enough with our scoring-talent advantage?

(btw, are you ready, Jeff Green, are you ready...?)

In any case, if anyone needs a bunch of well-constructed bricks in the coming days, please roll your pickup right behind my arse. It'll be no charge to haul them away!

I'm really glad we held onto that 2 Seed down the stretch, so we have home court advantage vs the Bucks.

I would hate for it to be the opposite, and the Bucks made us earn it. They kept winning and had the tiebreaker.

Can someone put Brown and Tatum face on them. In my preference Tatum as Omar and Brown as brother Muson  .

Can't wait for the moment when Brown will ask for trade. None of them want rais their kids there, LA or NY will be my bet.
