I was hoping for this to happen. Go get Masai and let go of Brad Stevens

Just President from what it seems, I assume Zarren will step into GM role, but who knows at this point

I don't like this at all.

Foresee a roster full of good natured role player ham & eggers. No titles.

First order of business for Stevens is trading Walker back to Charlotte and getting Hayward lol

This a way to keep the cost down? Stevens is paid until 2089 due to the extension as coach. So just change his title lol.

What exactly does head of basketball ops do? that's not the GM, is it?

That was Ainge's job.
Celtics didn't have a GM. Ainge was President of Ops. Zarren was Vice. Austin Ainge was Assistant GM.

So do we know if Stevens is going to be the head coach and GM?

Great news... except for the part about Brad Stevens taking a more prominent front office role... Brad is struggling as a coach right now, don't think he needs MORE responsibilities.

EDITED -- Wait, Brad is stepping down as coach too??? YTEAEASTASTOISAJHTJ!@)T@!UT YESS!!!!

Let's hope Stevens exacts revenge on his players by trading them all away except for Tatum.

So much for the Brad Stevens coaching redemption next year. I guess he felt the players weren't listening anymore so he okayed this lol

I think it’s the opposite. He’s been around these guys everyday. I’m pretty sure he knows who he wants out of there ASAP. We will probably find out that Brad begged Danny to trade Kyrie in 2018-19.

And for what it’s worth - when you are an NCAA coach, you are pretty much like a GM in terms of player recruitment. The only thing Brad doesn’t have experience in is trading players.
