Is it really fireworks if Stevens is gm tho?

Zarren handles the business and Brad will probably handle the player relations side. Danny was out of touch with today’s players especially with the dumb comments he made lately.

Zarren was in and negotiated mostly every trade the last few years. It’s really not a big deal. If you’re gonna make a change bring in an entire new staff.

This just wreaks off wyc pulling the band aid half off

Brad would make a fine assistant GM

Give him Austins Job

Result is a new Pres or assistant PRes is Zarren is promoted
NEw Headcoach.

Brad couldn't be hard on his players, how is he going to be hard on opposing GMs when it comes to making deals for the team? They're going to walk all over him, or we won't make any deals and he'll be even more conservative than Ainge was. This isn't a good scenario in to me right now.

Holy crap. I have always loved Danny and always will. The last few years have not been good and I can’t blame Danny for wanting to get off the merry go round. I wasn’t a fan of the kemba signing and many of Danny’s draft picks and it seems like the free agent failures took the heart out of Danny. The kyrie Gordon teams should have won a title. That team was loaded but it just didn’t work out. We have been very unlucky for the past several years. Anyhow I hope he stays involved with the C’s in some capacity but it sounds like he’s moving on. I don’t get brad going to the front office. I’ve seen no evidence that he would be good at that. He’s a good coach but it seems that there are locker room issues.

Mazz got trashed for it here, but he had this a month or two ago--and stuck with it.

I think it’s the opposite. He’s been around these guys everyday. I’m pretty sure he knows who he wants out of there ASAP. We will probably find out that Brad begged Danny to trade Kyrie in 2018-19.

And for what it’s worth - when you are an NCAA coach, you are pretty much like a GM in terms of player recruitment. The only thing Brad doesn’t have experience in is trading players.

My worry is he'll just fill this team with players that he's always liked to coach; underdog-type guys who have very low ceilings but will play their asses off. Sounds good on paper, but it probably won't net you a title.

Man, Kyrie really nuked the Ainge era to the ground. I hope karma comes back to bite him hard in the ass. That piece of **** doesn't deserve anything good

Yeah we need a guy who will scream at potential trade partners because that's how you get a deal done.

Brad was in his office looking at flights to Indiana and Wyc comes downstairs and promoted him. Haha what a whirlwind for him.

I'm not going to rag on Stevens as a GM until he actually does something. I think it was pretty obvious that Brad and Danny were not on the same page as far as personnel.

Stevens will value the hard working overachiever scrappy blue collar guy. Ainge was more of a star ****. I know this story
