Yeah but negotiator ?.... can’t see him going aggro over a trade...

100% dude has no balls. Great guy but come on

I don’t think you need to really fight with people on trades though lol, just come to an agreement that both sides find fair. Brad seems like the type who would be good in that situation, very robotic.

Plus he is infinitely more respected within nba circles than Danny is, and I think LBF will say the same.

Agreed. Plus, given the oomph of his hand-selected coaching staff I've no confidence in his selection of a new HC.

But I can see the ownership congratulating itself for how it is making changes without committing any more money to speak of. And yes, I think that is what is driving this. Thanks, Dad Grousbeck and crew are on the money make.

What's more, though Brad whined all year about Danny shorting him on his groceries, I've never seen him really optimize and value height in bigs, especially.

I doubt for the rest of our lives we'll ever see another GM as good as Ainge for the Celtics.

Let alone another coach as good as Stevens.

I mourn this loss and never saw this coming.

I only see Ainge leaving if the owners decided they don't want to pay they tax and they want something like a Kemba + 4 picks to cap space kind of deal which in a year will lead to Brown and Tatum traded for lottery picks and full tank period.

Not a fun time as a fan, but a cost controlled time for the owners who can sit back and collect sneaking into the 10th seed check playoffs money and watch their assets grow in value until they sell for a huge profit.

Yeah we need a guy who will scream at potential trade partners because that's how you get a deal done.

Best negotiators just do the “bud thing” and get deals done.

I think Brad takes Austins job.

A CLEAR upgrade for Brad, and a HUGE step towards one day running a franchise.

Zarren either gets promoted or a new pres comes in

Patience guys, patience. Lots of moving parts here.

This is DAMAGE CONTROL 101 and were seeing them try to keep the train on the rails and do a full engine replacement at the same time. Hard to do, but RICH **** GOTHAM HAS HUGE TITANIUM BALLS

This tells a lot about the state of this team this season. If the coach is mailing it in, how can you expect anything less from the players?

Brad will lull the opposing GMs to sleep with his boring speeches and then take players in the dead of night

Stevens hires Coach K as the new Boston coach and then steps down and takes the Duke job. Big brain thinking Brad they will call him.

I don’t think you need to really fight with people on trades though lol, just come to an agreement that both sides find fair. Brad seems like the type who would be good in that situation, very robotic.

Plus he is infinitely more respected within nba circles than Danny is, and I think LBF will say the same.

That’s fine. Anyone can talk themselves into it- the bottom line is the Celtics had a chance to completely clean house and they just promoted guys. That’s a big issue. Promoted a guy with zero experience as a gm or president of operations. With potentially the next 2 years defining our next 6 that’s not what I want.

Wait till the Clips are eliminated, and give Rondo a call.

If it helps, Brad may be more of a figurehead.

They needed a shakeup. Time will tell if it works but the same was not getting it done.

Yeah, and it was the wrong move.

You don't hire a college coach with some years as an NBA coach in the front office.

I laughed at teams hiring Lue or Kidd as coaches because it was stupid... this is 10x worse.

**** owners man. This isn't a move you make when you care about W-Ls they must be checked out and thinking they got their ring they just now want to make sure they no longer pay lux tax.

Ainge losing Hayward and not being able to trade him or get a return looks a lot more reasonable given this news. Man's hands were handcuff more than we assumed they were.

This is a half measure, they should buy out stevens and completely clean house. It’s the only way to improve IMO.
