CP3 is a leader and stabilizer at this point in his career, playing with a bum shoulder and all. That was the narrative, then reality struck; Portland beat LA to the 6th seed, the Lakers barely made it out of the play-in tournament, and they're getting outplayed in the first round by a team with a core of a bunch of guys in their early 20s.

To make sense of it all, the narrative has changed to conspiracy theories and a range of excuses.

AD is not playing, and LeBron is obviously affected by his syndesmosis injury, something which should be resolvable over the off season even at his age btw.
