Celtics Vintage Jacket Info Needed

HI Celtics nation,

I wonder if anyone can help me with information. I have a white Boston Celtics jacket (XL) which I bought in the early 80's. It is similar to the Starter jackets yet it says on the tag "Official Licensed NBA Product by Conquest" and I cant find anything online about Conquest as a brand and if they were prior to Starter jackets.

Can anyone share some light on this as it would be greatly appreciated.

Well, the NBA sells licenses to a lot of companies. Just this season alone, Nike, Mitchell and Ness, Starter, New Era, Fanatics and Jordan Brand all sell NBA gear. I’m sure there a bunch more brands depending on what country you’re in. What sort of help are you asking for exactly?

Not the jacket expert, but the only person here to see the Celtics jacket in the Krush Groove movie when the Fat Boys are entering the building.

Would also have the hobby of spotting old Celtics jackets at away games. They always had the green one. Even in Seattle.

Maybe a foreign manufacturer/distributor for NBA stuff was this Conquest company? Japan?

I am chasing information on the actual company and their licensing timeline with the NBA to get an understanding on the age of the jacket.

Conquest is the company name and not a sub brand to Converse etc

Its strange that their is nothing online about the company
