I don't like being cruel but Julius played in such a way -- and the Knicks continued to force feed him and he to force feed himself -- that it was an embarrassment to Julius, to us as fans, to Thibs' credibility, and to everything that it means to be a competitor.

It also left a very large stain on what was a season of progress. One that cannot be erased from the memory of time.

That was an immense and spectacular failure by the Knicks but most of all by the coach and by Julius.

Julius deserves all criticism thrown his way. He let us down massively. Part of that came down to how he was played by the Hawks - the other part was pure inability to adjust. All in all, its his first playoff series ever. There's a chance to grow from this and take the next step.

Speaking of next steps: don't bash RJ. If you do, you're a near-sighted clown. The kid is exactly that - a kid. The Hawks were a better team. Yeah he missed open shots, so what? He's going to continue to flourish. Give him time. He's got this invaluable experience at the age of 20. Time to get to work.

Outside of Randle, Thibs inability to adapt or run an offense was the second most disappointing part of the series.

The wait for Randle to get doubled works in regular season.

Julius melted down.

But Thibs ruined us.

SERIES was tied 1-1 and coming off a win.

And then Thibs destroyed us.

He made Derrick Rose a starter.

Which

A.) Ruined our starting 5's chemistry.
B.) Absolutely ruined our backup unit.

Extremely fun regular season.

Most frustrating Playoff series ever.

The two guys that got us to the playoffs in Thibs and Julius; became the same two guys who sent us home and eliminated us.

That's ridiculous. Inserting Rose in the starting spot was not the undoing. Starting 5 had no chemistry. It had us down in most games and playing 4 on 5 most nights. What it did was hide Randle's ineffectiveness. We were so keyed in on Payton's ****, that Randle's non-team, non-winning basketball went unnoticed and instead of him being the villain (which he should have), he became the the guy everyone implored to get help. THEN, you get him some help and he looks not just bad, but stupid. Can't adjust. Unsure of what to do. Still looking to orchestrate. Short fuse. Bad body language. Worse effort.

Thib's putting Rose in the starting lineup was not stupid because he did it in game 2. It was moronic beyond believe because he waited that long. He should have done that MONTHS ago and everyone (including Thibs) knew it.
