Look how much Randle and RJ improved after a bad regular season when no one had any expectations.

If you don’t think are guys aren’t going to be locked in this summer and coming back stronger then you haven’t been watching.

This loss, might be better for their development in the long term

Sometimes you have to go through failure before succeeding. Here’s to hoping Randle and RJ come back stronger and the Knicks front office also provide more talent around them. I’ll just leave it as that before this thread starts to reach toxic levels.

Shout out to all the people who said I was acting irate about randle in the first game the second and the third game. Well it looks like like the 4th and 5th game validated my point. He is not a franchise player. He is someone of value you trade and get more young talent for. If there was a all star free relent we can get this year you get him help then you keep him. “well there is no franchise Allstar players on the market” “his asking price is to high” oh and did I mention he also had the worst playoff series in the nba’s shot clock era?.

He’s what you call fake hard. He does a lot of fake hustling and is very on off with his motor.


I’m just going to count this as a victory for my self that I was validated I was not being irate and irrational. On the contrary I was being rational. The people who were irrational were the was delusional enough to think he was going to have a big game.

Guy played out of his mind all year, basically carried a team comprised of lottery busts and scrap heap free agents to home court in the playoffs, and no one will give one, single, solitary shyt because of the epic choke job he just put up. I'm not mad at Randle at all... He elevated his game, he maxed out his own talent, but he was exposed when the other team was playing for something.

Dude is not built for the playoffs.. it's his destiny to put up big stats in the regular season on bad to fringe playoff teams.

I will, however, be very ANGRY at the Knicks FO if they decided to sign this guy to long term money.

Call it what it is, Knicks did over achieve this year. I never thought they'd be in this position, as a fan you can't hate that. Yeah they blew it in the playoffs, but let's be honest, this Knicks team wasn't going far into the playoffs anyway. I'm excited for the off season, that being said Knicks need to get some upgrades.

Mitchell Robinson needs to put on some weight and start doing yoga. This series could've been a lot different with him playing. No doubt about that.

Extend Rose. Love this man. Want him to retire a Knicks with hopefully a championship.

Sign a 1st option.

Randle I believe could flourish under the 2nd option role. Randle would have less heat on him, to where he can focus on what he does best. Needs to trust his shot. Stop over thinking. Also, stop trying to run into 3 people and then dish it out with 3 on shot clock. Be more mindful of the shot clock as well. I do believe he'll get better.

RJ, needs some confidence. Gotta make those open looks.

A bunch of analysts had a great take on him; he can change a team's fortunes and get them out of the doldrums but he's not going to take you to a championship based off his antiquated style on offense. He's a great stopgap coach to right the ship and than bring in someone more offensively innovative to get you over the hump.

He runs his offense based on his personnel. This antiquated **** is a myth. If he had better offensive players we would have a better offense. Simple as that.

I didn't say anything of the sort. There were debates on a few talk shows on whether or not Thibodeau was a championship level coach given his success with the Bulls and the Knicks. I mentioned his antiquated style of coaching on the offensive end and also mentioned he can help losing franchises rebuild but he won't get you to a championship level.

He was a COY candidate this season and deservedly so but he's limited. He was in the perfect situation this season taking a team like this and overachieving.

Trying to win and failing is not tanking. We only tanked to get KP and RJ, who have been by far our best draft picks

Our situation should show that tanking is a much better strategy than aiming for 30-something wins a year.
