My personal belief is that the Knicks are cursed, doomed and will never win anything. So that kind of lowers the expectations, and leaves room for enjoying basketball and appreciating greatness (not counting snakes).

I mean he did once and led the Knicks to the worst record and the highest lottery odds in 2019, which is more than you can say for any executive since Dave DeBusschere.

I felt we should have tanked last year, and this year too. But at least they made the playoffs this year, which was good for the image of the franchise with the Nets probably on their way to their first championship.

There was no excuse not to tank last year. Letting Mike Miller ride the vets for meaningless wins was utterly absurd.

He didn’t want to tank in 18-19. They were awful. That fool always wants to “compete”. I’m just grateful that we had no choice but to play the kids and live with the results. Got us a true pillar.

But back to what I meant - all he had to do was rebuilding moves in 17-18. Instead he destroyed our lottery position + killed our 2019 space. Lucky he got a do over

I think they clearly wanted to tank for Zion. They were bad on purpose that year. They let Fizdale run wild and played Knox major minutes without holding him accountable despite being trash. That's tanking.
