I’m so confused on why the Clippers still got these cardboard cutout fans.

I felt we should have tanked last year, and this year too. But at least they made the playoffs this year, which was good for the image of the franchise with the Nets probably on their way to their first championship.

There was no excuse not to tank last year. Letting Mike Miller ride the vets for meaningless wins was utterly absurd.

He didn’t want to tank in 18-19. They were awful. That fool always wants to “compete”. I’m just grateful that we had no choice but to play the kids and live with the results. Got us a true pillar.

Only thing is maybe we wouldn’t have been as bad in 18-19 if we got one of the studs in 17-18

I think they clearly wanted to tank for Zion. They were bad on purpose that year. They let Fizdale run wild and played Knox major minutes without holding him accountable despite being trash. That's tanking.

We can agree to disagree. I think he built a scrub team he actually thought would “compete” and switched gears later on in the season

Anyway, my one year comment was about 17-18. That was the window. Get a stud in the draft, a year of growth in 18-19 & go shopping in 19. Welp

Remember when we didn’t tank for Luka (among many others we didn’t tank for) and ended up with Kevin Knox in the same draft?

Good times!
Thank you, Rick Brunson.

Luka already there...who's better?

He's the best of the 3 right now. I don't think he's running the league just yet, as in being an MVP. But he's definitely getting there. He's knocking on the door.

Long-term, hard to tell. I think once Zion gets a legit PG to run the PNR with him he might be just as unstoppable as Luka, if not more. I think Trae's a special talent too.

I forgot to mention there'll obviously be some overlap with the Jokices and the Embiids who are a few years older.

Sad thing, we still could’ve ended up with MPJ, SGA or one of the bridges. Sad sad franchise

The biggest mistake was made by James Dolan: letting Phil Jackson draft Ntilikina before firing him the same summer.

Signing Hardaway in an effort to be competitive was definitely not smart. Winning 32 games that year was moronic.

But I think 2018-19 was definitely a tank job. Come on man, Knox averaged 28.8 minutes per game. DSJ 28.6 after the trade. Mudiay 27.2. Lance Thomas 17.0. Hezonja 20.8. That was a spectacular tankjob. Mills wanted Zion.

It’s just too bad the Knicks missed out on all of these great young talents, including the ones we passed up on such as Donovan Mitchel, SGA, Bam, etc.

really wild that we got less assets back for kp cause we wanted to package Timmy with him and he ended up being the better piece in the deal.

How do you always drag me into an argument that has nothing to do with what I originally said

My comment was about 17-18. We can disagree about 18-19
