Just awful coaching by the Grizzlies on the x and o's in this series.

But that's what you get with a young coach and players facing one of the most veteran team in the NBA.

The Jazz got whatever they want it againts one of the worst defenders in the C position in JonasV.

Like I expect the Jazz to still shot 3s but not at this clip better teams and coaches will adjust better.

Hopefully Dallas can push the Clippers to a game 7.

I think the series goes 7 and going by the road performances, Dallas will probably take it.

Eastern Conf. is ready to start the 2nd round. Western Conf. doesn't have either matchup settled and might not for several days.

Utah playing the best basketball right now. Sixers close 2nd.

Great series, Grizz. I know it wasn't the outcome you probably wanted but I'd be happy with that series as a grizz fan. They played close in every game except the last

I honestly don't know how you could come away from this series and think "what terrible coaching." Val was their best shot at slowing us down, any time he went out we absolutely murdered them. Young players are inconsistent, this is the trajectory. Utah went through it, now Memphis is there, and in a few years, they will be where we are.

Well done, Griz, you played with tons of heart and Ja has *bleep*ing ARRIVED. Memphis showed out and the future is bright for you guys.

On to round 2, and hope to see Conley at 100%.

It's a bit of a crime for not giving Melton enough playing time. Wish he was appointed lead guard role and slide Ja to SG whenever Brooks is doing boneheaded plays

At some stages of the series, I have to agree with him. We didnt have an answer to slow the jazz down. No adjustment, no special asignments or anything at all. In game 1, we were in playoff mode for a week, the jazz got overconfident and their best player was on the bench. Ever since, they have dominated the series.

It is like when in 2k the opponent keeps doing the same thing over and over and the game is broken so it works. He takes advantage of the game and you just cant stop him. It was like it in this series. Conley or Mitchell running around a Gobert's moving screen and then, find the open the shooter.

Im not sure it will work for them against other teams but we will find out. Still rooting for Conley for the reminder of the playoffs. Either if it is Doncic or the clipps, Id rather watch the Jazz in the WCF. (people love Doncic but for me, he is just another madridista.) :nonono:

Wonder how Gordon Hayward is feeling about his decision to leave now.

Mike Conley is 'day-to-day' heading into the next series. I'm wondering if the Jazz will limit his minutes.

He could of made more with the Jazz:

What Boston gave him: 4/$128M (average: 32M)
The max Utah coould of offered: 5/$172.4M (average: 34.48M)

2017-18 roster with Hayward would of been as follows:

Gobert/Udoh
Favors/Joe Johnson
Hayward/Ingles/O'Neale
Mitchell/Hood/Burks
Rubio/Exum

Not exactly sure how we could of moved assets to get Conley or Bojan, but we could of landed one, and Mitchell has turned into a good PG so I think he could of taken the PG reighns.

Absolutely. While they probably knew it'd be an overpay, yes I'm sure they understood how hard it is to attract All-Stars to come to Utah. We might be better off with our current team than had we got Hayward since we might not have been willing to go SO deep into the luxury tax, so we may not have gone for Conley, or resigned Clarkson (if we even do that trade). Short term though we could of had an amazing squad.

looks like in the long run it worked out for the jazz id take clarkson, conely over hayward.
